The above content was shared by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam at the Conference on fostering knowledge on Party building for leaders, reporters, and editors of news agencies and newspapers in 2023, organized by the Central Organizing Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Information and Communications on June 2.

Attending the opening ceremony of the conference were comrades: Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association ; Phan Thang An, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department; Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Nguyen Thanh Lam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications...

There were 1,860 delegates who were leaders, reporters, and editors of press agencies across the country attending the Conference; 63 Provincial and Municipal Party Committees directly under the Central Government participated online.

This is the third time the conference has been held to foster knowledge about Party building for leaders, reporters and editors of news agencies and newspapers.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Thanh Lam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, said that 2023 is the third year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, a pivotal year to accelerate implementation results, creating momentum for the successful completion of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term.

In that context, improving the quality of information and propaganda work on Party building in the mass media and expanding the scope and far-reaching influence of the "Golden Hammer and Sickle" National Press Award on Party building plays an extremely important role.

The conference was organized to supplement knowledge, raise awareness, update new perspectives, new issues that need attention in Party building work in terms of politics , ideology, ethics, organization and cadres, contributing to effectively propagating the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term; fostering skills in selecting topics, exploiting and processing information, and conveying creative experiences in Party building works and building the political system for reporters and editors specializing in Party building propaganda of central and local news agencies and newspapers, contributing to better information and propaganda work, serving the leadership and direction of Party building work associated with improving the quality of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam emphasized: "Works participating in the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award need to have elaborate investment, demonstrate creativity and innovation in discovering topics, analyzing, evaluating, telling attractive and convincing stories, and especially be fluent in using typical elements of television and radio such as images, commentary, sound, etc. so that writing about Party building is no longer "difficult, dry and miserable" as some previous opinions".

Statistics from the Ministry of Information and Communications show that from November 1, 2022 to June 1, 2023, electronic newspapers and magazines had 26,623 works written on the topic of Party building and political system building, more than double in the first 6 months of the year compared to 2022 (the whole year of 2022 was about 20,000 articles).

During the 1-day period, the reporters, who were former journalists with many years of experience in Party building, exchanged and shared knowledge about journalism in the field of Party building with the main contents: Experience in creating journalistic works in the political genre; new contents on Party building and the political system in the Resolutions of the 4th, 5th, 6th Central Conferences (term XIII); introducing topics, themes, and ways of processing information in creating works on Party building and the political system and introducing new models, good and creative ways of doing things, and effectiveness in Party building; skills in creating press photos on Party building; sharing experiences in creating journalistic works on Party building of authors who won high prizes in the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award.
