On the morning of November 2, at the Central Military Commission Office, General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense , presented Decision No. 420/QDD-BQP and Decision No. 468/QDD-BQP dated November 1, 2024 on the appointment of Senior Lieutenant Colonel Cao Anh Son and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat to the position of Deputy General Director of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel).

Previously, Viettel's leadership, including Chairman and General Director of the Group - Major General Tao Duc Thang; Party Secretary, Deputy General Director - Major General Nguyen Dinh Chien; Deputy General Directors: Major General Do Minh Phuong, Colonel Dao Xuan Vu had a congratulatory meeting for the two comrades who were appointed Deputy General Directors of the Group.

Lieutenant Colonel Cao Anh Son was born in 1975 and started working at Viettel in 2000 as an engineer in the Technical Department. During his 24 years of service, Mr. Son has held many important positions such as Head of Billing Department, Director of International Business Center of Viettel Telecom Corporation, Deputy Head of Information Technology Department of the Group, Deputy General Director of Viettel International Investment Joint Stock Corporation (VTG), General Director of Viettel Star Telecom Company (Unitel). Before being appointed, Mr. Son was General Director of Viettel Telecom Corporation (VTT).

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat, born in 1981, is currently the youngest member of the Group's Board of Directors. Mr. Dat joined Viettel in 2008 and has held many positions, from system administrator to manager, holding important positions.

Mr. Dat has twice held the position of Head of the Group's Technical Department and twice held the position of Head of Viettel Network Corporation (VTNet). Mr. Dat also held the position of General Director of Movitel (Viettel Mozambique) and General Director of International Investment Corporation (VTG). Mr. Dat was General Director of Network Corporation before being appointed Deputy General Director of Viettel Group.
