VIMC places its trust in the younger generation to transform the new era - Vietnam Maritime Corporation

To commemorate VIMC's 30th anniversary, on April 18th, the VIMC Youth Union organized a dialogue program between the Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and youth union members, with the theme: "The impact of transformation – green transformation in the era of national progress – on the young generation of VIMC."

Attending the program at the main venue were: Comrade Le Anh Son - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Comrade Doan Thi Thu Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Comrade Le Quang Trung - Deputy General Director; Comrade Pham Van Hai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Trade Union; Comrade Le Dong - Director of the IT Center; Comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Director of the Trade Union Center; Comrade Dang Huy Cuong - Secretary of the Youth Union; and leaders of the Party Committee's departments, specialized departments, key officials, and youth union members from affiliated Youth Union branches and member enterprises participating via online connection.

Opening the program, Mr. Le Quang Trung – Deputy General Director of VIMC – shared a presentation on the topic “Green Transformation – Digital Transformation: The Foundation for a Sustainable Maritime Supply Chain”. He emphasized the essential role of green transformation and digital transformation in reshaping global supply chains, as well as the importance of young talent in leading this innovation process at VIMC.

Next, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh – Deputy Director of the VIMC Transformation Center – presented a专题 (special topic) on “VIMC’s Transformation Journey,” providing an overview of the strategic steps the Corporation is taking, its initial achievements, and expectations for the future. The practical developments of this journey demonstrated that the companionship and proactive participation of young staff members are key factors in its success.

During the dialogue, the open and democratic atmosphere created conditions for youth union members to frankly express their thoughts and propose initiatives related to the following areas: applying new technologies in operations, reducing emissions in port operations, logistics and maritime transport, and promoting comprehensive "green" operational processes.

Chairman Le Anh Son emphasized: “Young people need to be dynamic, enthusiastic, adaptable, and act quickly, playing a pioneering role in every small action, spreading the Kaizen spirit, and proactively transforming the Youth Union organization and the enterprise with the following goals: innovating the business department, centralizing data, building policies to attract high-quality human resources; using digital transformation – green transformation as a condition for development, based on actual needs and stemming from the dedication and internal strength of each Youth Union member.”

Many frank questions and opinions were raised by the youth union members, revolving around topics such as: opportunities for skills training and transformation, technology application, and policies to promote innovation… These issues were directly addressed and acknowledged by VIMC leaders, who committed to incorporating them into specific action plans in the near future. Beyond mere exchange, the program also served as a powerful call to all youth union members to embrace transformation in this era of national progress.

Launching the "VIMC Youth Innovation Festival II 2025"

In particular, at the program, the Standing Committee of the VIMC Youth Union officially launched the "2nd VIMC Youth Innovation Festival 2025". The event aims to strongly inspire the spirit of innovation among VIMC's youth union members; create an intellectual playground, promote practical initiatives and solutions, and make tangible contributions to VIMC's digital transformation and green transformation process.

Also within the framework of the program, the Corporation's Youth Union held a ceremony to present the Decision on the establishment of the Youth Union branch at VIMC Container Transport Joint Stock Company. The establishment of the new branch further affirms the important role of the Youth Union in accompanying the development of the enterprise, while expanding the Youth Union's network of activities and promoting the effectiveness of political and ideological education and professional training for young union members in the new situation.

The dialogue program concluded with confidence, determination, and enthusiasm, promising strong and sustainable development for the youth of VIMC towards the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Maritime Corporation.
