On November 18, 2024, VinFuture Foundation officially announced the schedule of the Science and Technology Week and VinFuture Awards Ceremony 2024 taking place from December 4 to 7, 2024 in Hanoi, Vietnam. This is a series of international events, gathering many outstanding names in the world in key fields such as materials science, artificial intelligence, air pollution and environmental research... In particular, the highlight of the event series is the Ceremony to honor scientists with outstanding achievements, contributing to the lives of millions, even billions of people on earth. Entering its 4th year, the Science and Technology Week and VinFuture Awards Ceremony have made their mark as one of the most anticipated annual events of the global Science and Technology community.

With the theme “Resilient Breakthrough”, the VinFuture Awards 2024 is one of the most anticipated events in the global Science and Technology community.

This year, VinFuture chose the message “Resilient Breakthrough”, with the meaning that through the door of science and technology, humanity resiliently breaks through difficulties to build a more prosperous life. The week includes 4 main activities: “Science for Life Seminar”; “VinFuture Future Discovery Dialogue Series”; “VinFuture Award Ceremony”; and “Interaction with the 2024 VinFuture Award Winners”. The event series begins with the “Science for Life Seminar”, taking place over two days, December 4-5, with 4 sessions: “Materials for a Sustainable Future”, “AI Implementation in Practice”, “Air Pollution and Traffic: Opportunities and Challenges for Vietnam and the World ”, and “Innovations in Cardiovascular Health Care and Stroke Treatment”. The Scientific Seminar Series brings together speakers who are world-leading scientists such as Professor Yann LeCun (Vice President and Director of Artificial Intelligence Science at Meta, and Silver Professor at New York University - NYU, USA); Professor Seth Marder (Director of the Institute for Renewable and Sustainable Energy - a joint organization between the University of Colorado-Boulder and the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory - NREL); Professor Yafang Cheng (Director of the Department of Aerosol Chemistry at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry, Germany) and Professor Valery Feigin (Professor of Neurology and Epidemiology, Director of the National Institute for Stroke Research and Applied Neuroscience, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand)... In parallel with the scientific seminars, the "VinFuture Discovery Dialogue Series" will be an important bridge to connect the world's leading scientists with research institutes, universities and businesses in Vietnam. The dialogues will focus on finding solutions to global challenges and promoting research collaboration such as: “New approaches to control and regulate hypertension”; “Sustainable farming techniques adapting to climate change”; “Innovations in solar energy and advanced materials engineering”; and “Women scientists for a sustainable energy future and a green environment”… On the evening of December 6, the VinFuture 2024 Award Ceremony - the highlight that the global scientific community is looking forward to - will officially take place at Ho Guom Theater. This is an important moment to honor breakthrough inventions and technologies, selected from nearly 1,500 research projects nominated by more than 9,000 partners from more than 80 countries and territories around the world.

In September 2024, the InnovaConnect Conference with the theme "Prevention of new tobacco harms: Scientific evidence and experience in Vietnam and around the world" organized by VinFuture Foundation, in collaboration with the University of Public Health attracted the participation of nearly 500 guests, including leading experts at home and abroad.

Immediately following the Award Ceremony, the event “Hello Future: Meeting with the VinFuture 2024 Award Winners” will take place all day on December 7. Here, the award winners will spend the morning sharing their in-depth knowledge and inspiring stories about their research journey with the public and the Vietnamese scientific community. The afternoon will feature presentations on each scientific topic for outstanding young scientists and businesses interested in applying research results into practice. Another special highlight of this year’s event series is that for the first time, the VinFuture Foundation will pay tribute to scientists who are the official nominating partners of the Award. These are scientists who have provided important support in identifying, nominating and honoring works and technological solutions that have a great impact on humanity. The scientists will share their motivation for nominating for the Award, convinced by the broad vision and noble mission that VinFuture is aiming for. After 4 years of operation, the VinFuture Prize has increasingly affirmed its position as one of the world's leading prestigious science awards with a vision similar to other long-standing prestigious awards. The Prize is not only a bridge between the world's outstanding intellectuals and the domestic scientific community, but also plays an important role in promoting, inspiring, and motivating the development of the country's science and technology.
