In the past few days, many students, scientists , colleagues... have been present at the Southern Funeral Home (No. 5 Pham Ngu Lao, Ward 3, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) to burn incense and send off Professor Dang Luong Mo to his final resting place.
In the condolence book, there are many lines of deep condolences, remembering a talented and dedicated scientist, who lived fully with the ideal of scientific research, training talents for the country, and was a pioneer in developing microchip technology in Vietnam.

Professor Dang Luong Mo's coffin was buried at Binh Duong Cemetery.
Dr. Tong Thanh Nhan, Vice Principal of Cao Thang Technical College (District 1), emotionally recalled: "I was lucky to be accepted as a student by Mr. Mo to guide me in my master's thesis in 2003. Along with me, there were 3 other people who were guided by him. Up to now, the whole group has followed the path of research, teaching and has a doctorate degree."
During the process of being mentored by Professor Dang Luong Mo, Dr. Nhan not only acquired extensive professional knowledge in the field of semiconductors but also learned invaluable lessons about vision and development orientation.
"He is a world- famous scientist in the field of semiconductors. Therefore, we feel a lot of pressure when he guides us and this is also the motivation for each person to focus on the topic. For us, each session with him brings valuable lessons, very valuable in academics, in vision and future development orientation" - Dr. Nhan shared.
Professor Dang Luong Mo was the first Vietnamese person to be awarded the title of professor by Japan in 1983. He has published more than 300 research works and owns 13 patents recognized in developed countries.
According to Dr. Nhan, in 2023, in the atmosphere and determination of the whole country towards the development of the semiconductor industry, Cao Thang Technical College is very eager to participate in training college-level human resources in the field of semiconductors. However, this is a very new field for Vietnam and also very new for the school.
"At that time, Dr. Le Dinh Kha, the school principal, and I went to see Mr. Mo. He shared with us his experiences in training and production, and valuable advice on the direction and ways to train college-level human resources in the semiconductor field," Dr. Nhan recalled.

In his last days, Professor Dang Luong Mo was still working hard on his laptop.
Professor Dang Luong Mo is a tireless scientist. Despite his old age, he is still very clear-headed and always closely updated with science and technology in the world.
"I not only thank and admire Mr. Dang Luong Mo, but also especially respect Ms. Tran Thi Anh Xuan - his wife. During the 22 years I have known him, I have always seen her by his side. Her silent contributions are very valuable" - Dr. Nhan expressed.
After a long period of treatment at Military Hospital 175, Professor Dang Luong Mo passed away on the afternoon of May 6, at the age of 90.
He is an honorary professor at Hosei University (Japan), a senior advisor at Ho Chi Minh City National University and Honorary President of the Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Association.
