On August 14, in Hanoi, the Hanoi People's Committee directed the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to coordinate with the Hanoi Police to organize the closing ceremony of the Literary and Artistic Composition Contest with the theme "Capital Police for a Peaceful Life".

This is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025); the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025) and towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and major holidays and important political events in 2025.

In his closing speech of the contest, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Director of the Hanoi Cultural and Library Center - the standing agency of the contest, emphasized that the Literary and Artistic Composition Contest with the theme: "Capital Police for a Peaceful Life" is a cultural and political activity of profound significance, contributing to honoring the cultural and artistic values of the Capital, worthy of the position of the cultural and political center of the whole country in the period of integration and development, for a rich and powerful Vietnam, bringing the country into the "New Era - The Era of the nation's rise".

The contest aims to encourage and inspire creativity among professional and non-professional writers and artists as well as the creative ability of officers and soldiers of the Capital Police to participate in writing entries from a multi-dimensional perspective, honestly and vividly reflecting the image of the People's Police soldier with his ingenuity, bravery, diligence, and efforts to overcome difficulties for the peaceful and happy life of the people.

This is also an opportunity to strengthen and foster close ties between the police force and all classes of people, spreading trust, understanding, sharing and support to help the police force complete all tasks.
After nearly 3 months of launching, the Organizing Committee received 480 entries from individual authors and co-authors, including 75 song works; 308 poems and 97 memoirs.
Many entries are of good quality, reflecting quite comprehensively the image, work practices, results, achievements, and feats of the police force at the grassroots level... with many examples of good people and good deeds, typical examples in studying and following the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho for the People's Police; not afraid of difficulties, devoted "forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people".

On behalf of the jury, poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association, emphasized that the award-winning works all received high consensus from the jury. The works richly reflect the Capital Police force in many different fields. In particular, the contest attracted a large number of officers and soldiers in the People's Police force to participate. They told about their work, their teammates, their thoughts, feelings and aspirations to perform their duties well, to maintain peace for the people in a truthful and convincing way. Thereby, the public understood more about the People's Police force and saw their great sacrifices.
The Organizing Committee awarded 50 quality works. There were 5 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 10 third prizes, 15 consolation prizes, and 10 special prizes.
