Vivo V60 – mid-range smartphone with large battery

For nearly a year now, Chinese companies have surpassed Apple and Samsung in the race for battery capacity. Thanks to the application of Silicon-Carbon material, with higher energy density, companies can equip large batteries with a capacity of 5,000-6,000 mAh without increasing the thickness of the phone. Thanks to large batteries, the user experience is also more comfortable, the phone can last more than a day without needing to be charged. Chinese companies also often equip high-capacity, fast-speed chargers with the phone.

Combined with the familiar advantage of strong configuration, the new race gives Chinese companies an advantage in numbers. In the mid-high-end segment, with a retail price of 15-18 million, Vivo V60 is the newest name, also the smartphone with the highest battery capacity. The 6,500 mAh battery is a significant upgrade compared to the Vivo V50 model launched at the beginning of the year (5,000 mAh), also surpassing other models in the same segment such as Reno 14, Honor 400 (6,000 mAh).

Despite the large battery, the size of the device is still comfortable with a thickness of 7.8 mm at the thickest point, weighing 203 grams. The curved back design helps to bring a feeling of grip. The device also meets IP68 water and dust resistance standards, and has an additional feature of pushing water out of the speaker with a sound similar to many smart watches. In Vietnam, the company sells two color options: purple and gray.

The camera of the device is uniquely designed with 2 prominent main cameras, designed to be thicker than the back. These are 2 cameras with a resolution of 50 MP, normal and telephoto (3x) shooting angles. Next to it is an 8 MP super wide-angle camera with a circular auxiliary light.

The company equips many photography features, from multi-focal length (23-35-50-85-100 mm, in which many focal lengths combine optical magnification and cropping), film color simulation styles, bokeh. Users who like to explore have many options to create photos that are satisfactory to themselves.

The device uses a configuration with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage options. The 6.77-inch screen has FullHD + resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate and good outdoor visibility. The customized operating system Funtouch OS 15 fully supports AI features on the Gemini platform, but compared to competitors, it lacks some AI applications.

Vivo V60 was introduced in the Vietnamese market on August 26. According to the dealer's website, the price for the two versions of the device is from 16-17 million, including some pre-order gifts. This is a rather "crowded" segment at present, in addition to representatives from China, users also have options that have been released since the beginning of the year and have been discounted such as Samsung Galaxy S25 (17.8 million) or iPhone 16e (17.9 million).
