Winning 3-0 against the Philippines women's volleyball team in the final match, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won the AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup 2025 for the third consecutive time.
Before that, the "Golden Girls" of Vietnamese volleyball had gone through a memorable and highly convincing journey.
The Vietnamese women's team won 3-0 against Hong Kong (China), Chinese Taipei, India and Australia to take first place in the group.
Despite some difficulties in the second set of the semi-final against Kazakhstan - the opponent in the 2024 final, the team still won 3-1 overall.
The points that the Vietnamese women's team received after each match at the tournament were: Hong Kong (4.36 points), Chinese Taipei (6.17 points), India (3.98 points), Australia (3.96 points), Kazakhstan (5.01 points) and the Philippines (5.01 points).
With 6 wins in the tournament, the Vietnamese women's team has been awarded 28.49 points, rising from 31st place in the world before the tournament to 25th place in the world with 141.21 points after the tournament.
This is the best world ranking in the history of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.
Not only did they win the AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup 2025, the Vietnamese women's team also had 3 players win individual awards: Thanh Thuy (Best Attacker), Khanh Dang (Best Libero), Bich Tuyen (Best Opposite and MVP - Best All-round Player of the tournament).
After the AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup 2025, the Vietnamese women's team will compete in four other international tournaments in the remainder of 2025, namely the VTV Cup at the end of June, the SEA V.League in July, the World Championship in August and the 33rd SEA Games at the end of the year.
