VPUB - General rehearsal of the special art program "Brocade mountains and rivers - A strip of glory"

Dienbien.gov.vn - On the evening of May 2, at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a rehearsal for the special art program "Brocade Mountains and Rivers - A Strip of Glory". Attending the rehearsal were comrades: Tran Quoc Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vu A Bang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

The special art program lasts 90 minutes, including the opening performance "I love my Fatherland" and 2 chapters: Chapter I: "Immortal epic"; Chapter II: "Peace rendezvous" broadcast live on Dien Bien Provincial Radio and Television; Radio and Television stations of some provinces and cities across the country; In addition, there is a music program to exchange between artists and the audience.

The program has the participation of famous artists: Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Hoa Minzy, Anh Tu, Do Hoang Hiep, Xuan Hao, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Thu Thuy, Thu Ha, Ngoc Ky, Minh Duc, Thu Huong, Viet Danh, singers and the male and female choir of Dien Bien Province's Ethnic Arts Troupe; professional and non-professional actors from central and local art units; students, and soldiers stationed in the province.

With the theme “Brocade Mountains and Rivers - A Strip of Glory”, the program not only shows the beauty of Vietnam but also a meaningful journey from the arduous war years to the period of peace, modernity, and development. Closely linked to the history of the nation, this theme depicts the cultural identity, indomitable spirit and aspiration to move forward of the Vietnamese people.

The art program combines elements: Singing - Dancing - Orchestra - Video Clip with creative elements, traditional combined with modern. Combining elements of stage production and semi-real scenes; performing on the ground and in the air to create impressive and unique scenes. The content and message of the program are: Joy of victory, Desire for peace, Great national unity, Aspiration to reach out with the country in the era of national growth.

The special art program shows the military art, the feelings of the soldiers in "Fifty-six days and nights of digging mountains, sleeping in tunnels, pouring rain, and steamed rice". The determination in the aspiration for peace and independence of the Vietnamese people in the two wars of Dien Bien Phu and the Liberation of the South, along with expressing gratitude to the great President Ho Chi Minh, who told General Vo Nguyen Giap "This battle is important, we must fight to win. Only fight if we are sure of victory, and not sure of victory."

At the end of the program, delegates from the Organizing Committee contributed their opinions so that the special art program would take place successfully on the evening of May 3, 2025 as planned, leaving a strong impression on a large number of people and tourists./.
