Taxi driver hits urban security guard in Hanoi: Driver has high alcohol concentration

On March 29, Gia Lam District Police, Hanoi , are investigating the case of a security guard being hit and killed at Vinhomes Ocean Park urban area (in Gia Lam district).

According to the authorities, the driver's identity is Trinh Ba Trong (39 years old, living in Gia Lam district, Hanoi). On the afternoon of March 28, Trong parked his car with license plate 29E-012.42 at the intersection of Hai Dang 3 - Hai Dang 9, in Vinhomes Ocean Park Urban Area, when Mr. VTD (25 years old, security guard) locked the wheel with a cable lock for parking illegally.

Trong then got in his car and left. The male security guard on his motorbike chased after him but was hit by Trong's car. During the escape, Trong's car collided with two other cars.

Immediately after the incident, Gia Lam District Police arrested Trinh Ba Trong. By the night of March 28, the urban security guard who was hit by the taxi had died.

Authorities said the male driver's alcohol test result was 0.454 mg/l of breath.
