Vu Thu: Former teachers' association member donates over 350 million VND to build new rural areas

On the morning of May 19, the Association of Former Teachers (CGC) of Vu Thu district opened the 4th Congress of Delegates, term 2023 - 2028.
Leaders of Vu Thu district presented flowers to congratulate the congress.
The Association of Veterans in Vu Thu district currently has over 1,530 members, operating in 31 associations and branches. The whole district has nearly 500 members of the Association of Veterans undertaking the work of the Party, government, and grassroots organizations, contributing their efforts and intelligence to the construction of their homeland. In the construction of new rural areas, over the past 5 years, the Association of Veterans in the district has supported over 350 million VND to build bridges, roads, lighting for rural roads, martyrs' cemeteries, etc. Association members are active and core factors in the work of encouraging learning and talent in localities. In recent years, the Association of Veterans at all levels has encouraged members to actively participate in cultural, artistic, and sports activities such as art exchanges, composing and publishing poems and books to improve spiritual life. Associations at all levels have visited nearly 1,500 members with a total amount of over 130 million VND; and celebrated longevity for 1,100 elderly members.
During the term, the District Association of Civil Servants and 3 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Civil Servants Association; nearly 100 collectives and individuals were awarded by the Provincial Association and the District People's Committee.

In the 2023 - 2028 term, the Association of Vietnamese Women in Vu Thu district focuses on gathering and improving the quantity and quality of members; taking care of material and spiritual life; mobilizing members to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, especially the work of promoting learning and talent in the locality.
The congress elected 19 delegates to the Executive Committee of the Association of Women's Union of Vu Thu district, term IV, 2023 - 2028, and elected a delegation to attend the congress at a higher level.
