After 15 days of temporarily suspending Ms. Nguyen Thai Quynh Nga from work, the police still have not had an official report on the incident, so according to regulations, the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat will extend the temporary suspension period for another 15 days to serve the verification work.
Previously, on September 24, the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat issued a decision to temporarily suspend Ms. Nga from work for 15 days to serve the verification and investigation of information about dirty food in the school's boarding kitchen. At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hien, Head of the Ward's Culture and Social Affairs Department, was assigned to manage Trung Vuong Primary School during the temporary suspension of the principal.
The case of dirty food information in schools: Suspending the principal for 15 days
As Thanh Nien reported, on the evening of September 15, a complaint appeared on social media accusing the Principal of Trung Vuong Primary School of contracting to bring dirty food into the boarding kitchen. On September 16, Lam Dong Provincial Police and the authorities of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat directly went to the school to verify.
On the evening of September 18, Mr. Nguyen Mau Ha, Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, chaired the confrontation between Ms. Nguyen Thai Quynh Nga, Principal of the school and parents.
On September 20, Trung Vuong Primary School announced that it would temporarily suspend boarding meals from September 22 because suppliers had stopped delivering food, leaving the school without an alternative source.
A representative of the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat, said that the boarding kitchen of Trung Vuong Primary School has not been able to resume operations yet. The ward is currently instructing the school's board of directors to re-bid for food suppliers in accordance with the correct procedures within 30 days.
In fact, many parents expressed their wish that the school's boarding kitchen would soon be operational again, because having to pick up and drop off their children many times a day takes a lot of their time and affects their work.
On the afternoon of September 23, at an online conference with 124 wards and communes, Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, requested quick handling and clarification of individual and collective responsibilities related to the case of dirty food in the kitchen of Trung Vuong Primary School, in order to ensure absolute safety for students.
