Vung Tau's budget revenue reached 57%.

On the afternoon of June 19th, the Executive Committee of the Vung Tau City Party Committee, 7th term, 2020-2025, held its 35th (expanded) conference to review the work of the first six months of 2025.

In the first six months of 2025, Vung Tau City's economic sectors continued to experience high growth compared to the same period in 2024. Notably, revenue from accommodation and food services is estimated at VND 6,388 billion, an increase of 26.52%. The total number of overnight visitors reached approximately 1.8 million, an increase of 35.11%. Industrial production value and total retail sales of goods are estimated to have increased by 15-17%. The city's budget revenue is estimated at VND 3,021 billion, reaching 57% of the provincial target.

The city processed 7,966 administrative procedures for citizens, achieving 95.96%. The city's Party Committee admitted 130 new Party members, reaching 27.72% of the provincial target.

In his address to the conference, Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Vung Tau City Party Committee, urged the Party Committee to continue to unite, be determined, and maintain high consensus, taking "rapid movement - strong effectiveness - genuine people's support" as the goal of action. He emphasized improving the indicators and quality of socio-economic growth, harmonizing economic development with environmental protection, ensuring security and order, and improving the people's living standards...

*Earlier that same day, the People's Council of Vung Tau City held its 22nd session, passing several important resolutions, most notably the adjustment of the medium-term public investment plan for 2021-2025, increasing it by 140 billion VND, bringing the total to over 4,582 billion VND.

This funding will be used for urban infrastructure renovation projects and upgrading the headquarters of newly merged wards/communes. In addition, the People's Council also approved hundreds of billions of VND in additional funding for public investment projects in 2025 and established five public land areas for management.

According to Nguyen Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Vung Tau City People's Council, these adjustments aim to promote comprehensive development for the city, especially in the context of its merger with the (new) Ho Chi Minh City.
