On the afternoon of November 19, Dr. Tran Van Thu, Director of the Nam Tra My Regional Medical Center, said that the unit had just completed handing over 3 seriously ill patients in need of emergency care to the Bac Tra My Regional Medical Center for further transfer to a higher level facility for treatment.
According to Dr. Tran Van Thu, on the evening of November 18, the Center received and temporarily treated patients because the road was not accessible. On the morning of November 19, Road 40B continued to be heavily eroded, making it impossible to transport the 3 patients to a higher level.
At 10:00 a.m. on November 19, Nam Tra My Regional Medical Center coordinated with Bac Tra My Regional Medical Center, Defense Command of Region 3 - Tra My and Tra Leng Commune authorities to deploy a plan to transport people across landslides at Tra Giac quarry area.

At the landslide site, the ambulance could only reach one side. The Tra Leng Commune militia and family members had to use hammocks to carry the patient across the dangerous landslide to the other side, where an ambulance from the Bac Tra My Regional Medical Center was waiting to receive him.
By noon of the same day, Nam Tra My Regional Medical Center completed handing over 3 patients to Bac Tra My Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
According to Dr. Tran Van Thu, timely coordination between forces helped the hospital transfer process take place safely in traffic conditions cut off by floods.

* Previously, the police and military forces of Avuong commune coordinated with the medical team of Dong Giang and Tay Giang Regional Medical Centers to overcome the landslide point on Ho Chi Minh road, supporting the transfer of a Co Tu victim in Avuong commune to a higher-level hospital for timely emergency care and treatment.
