As the country enters the 2026-2030 period with the ambitious goal of achieving an average economic growth rate of over 10% per year, businesses are proactively changing their mindset, seizing opportunities from administrative reforms and public investment; especially the "dual transformation" trend - digitalization and greening - to create momentum for strong breakthroughs.
The ability to overcome difficulties and the foundation for transformation.
Looking back at 2025, a common thread in the stories of many businesses is their resilience and ability to adapt flexibly to unpredictable market fluctuations. Instead of chasing rapid growth, many have chosen to strengthen their internal capabilities and prepare for a new growth cycle. Most notably, there has been a shift from a price-based competitive mindset to one based on value, with sustainable connections and responsibility.
Mr. Vu Quoc Hoang, Director of Development at Lochome Joint Stock Company, shared a practical perspective: "In the context of fierce competition, where consumer behavior is changing rapidly, SMEs that only 'struggle' with speed and price reductions will easily become exhausted. We chose a different path: focusing on connectivity."
Accordingly, Lochome has actively participated in trade promotion programs, bringing the Vietnamese coffee brand to the forefront of most major and minor events nationwide. Instead of focusing on short-term customer acquisition solutions, Lochome has implemented a strategy of building trust and a network. "Interacting and sharing experiences with the business community helps us gain more information and perspectives to orient our development path in line with general trends, instead of fumbling around alone," Mr. Hoang emphasized. This demonstrates that Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises are becoming increasingly professional in their integration mindset.
On a larger scale, the story of Nagakawa Group in 2025 is a prime example of the traditional manufacturing industry's efforts to transform itself through digital and green transformation.
"We believe that transformation is not a trend, but a path to survival," affirmed Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Thuong, General Director of Nagakawa Group. "Nagakawa is gradually implementing a dual transformation, integrating technology into digital transformation to serve the goal of green transformation, bringing 'green' products to every Vietnamese kitchen," Ms. Thuong said.
2025 will also be the year when pressure from international environmental, social, and governance (ESG) regulations will have an unprecedentedly direct and strong impact on Vietnamese businesses participating in global supply chains.
Mr. Pham Dang An, Deputy General Director of Vu Phong Energy Group and Director of VP Carbon, shared that the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the Government 's Net Zero commitments are no longer distant concepts. They are pushing Vietnamese exporters to either reduce emissions or face the risk of losing markets.
In this context, Vu Phong Energy Group not only provides solar power solutions, but also offers comprehensive energy-saving solutions, helping partners such as Green TG factory ( Tien Giang ) reduce 1200 tons of CO2 per year, and Eclat - Fabrics Vietnam reduce 1400 tons of CO2 per year. These figures show that "greening" is no longer just a slogan, but a passport for Vietnamese businesses to remain in the global value chain.
Breakthrough with a strategic vision.
Entering 2026, the beginning of the five-year plan expected to be a breakthrough era, the State continues to focus on perfecting institutions, striving to reform administrative procedures, and removing bottlenecks to create a "launching pad" for businesses to take off.
Anticipating this new trend, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are outlining ambitious strategies. For Lochome Joint Stock Company, 2026 is not just about developing the domestic market, but also about the aspiration to bring Vietnamese coffee – especially high-quality products from Lochome Farm (Da Lat) – to the international stage.
Mr. Vu Quoc Hoang stated, "In the fiercely competitive global environment of the F&B industry, the survival strategy is to maintain identity and core values amidst the wave of change." Specifically, the company will focus maximally on product quality and customer experience. Simultaneously, the extensive application of technology to optimize the supply chain, ensure traceability, and diversify international distribution channels will be key to Lochome realizing its global dream.
Regarding Nagakawa Group, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Thuong stated that the Group's vision for the next five years is to expand its product lines and integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its products. In particular, Nagakawa will accelerate green transformation through smart building energy management systems (Smart VRF/HVAC & BMS). Nagakawa's international market expansion strategy will go hand in hand with its commitment to strengthening corporate social responsibility (CSR), such as supporting new rural development and gender equality. "We believe that sustainable profits must go hand in hand with social benefits and preserving the core of Vietnamese culture," Ms. Thuong emphasized.
In the energy sector, Mr. Pham Dang An, representative of Vu Phong Energy Group, shared that to realize its grand goals, VP Carbon has proactively established strategic partnerships with international investors. The combination of a deep understanding of the Vietnamese domestic market with international resources will be the formula for success in promoting green transformation in Vietnam and the region.
It can be seen that, from SMEs striving to grow, to large manufacturing corporations undergoing model transformation, or pioneering businesses in new fields, they all share a common denominator: a spirit of proactive innovation and a desire for sustainable development.
The year 2026 opens with high expectations. The convergence of the government's determination to reform institutions and create a favorable business environment, and the business community's bold and proactive spirit in implementing a "dual transformation," is the strongest driving force to believe that the Vietnamese economy will make new strides in the 2026-2030 period, affirming its solid position on the global economic map.
