To prepare for the new school year, schools in Pung Tra and Chieng Bom communes have proactively reviewed and consolidated their facilities, strengthened their teaching staff, and developed plans to organize opening ceremonies and activities at the beginning of the school year. Many items have been implemented, such as: cleaning the landscape and environment, pruning trees, repairing tables and chairs, electrical systems, and upgrading campuses. Schools also organize labor for students, disseminate regulations and provide guidance on study habits; and prepare books and school supplies for students.
Through inspection, most schools in the area still have some difficulties, such as: Lack of teachers in preschool classes compared to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training and lack of English teachers; equipment, outdoor toys and minimal supplies for preschool children; not enough places to eat and rest for students studying 2 sessions/day; lack of subject classrooms and gyms; degraded classrooms... Schools recommend early implementation of construction of new projects that have been surveyed; supplementing the missing teacher staff and funding to repair facilities, purchase teaching and learning equipment...
Nam Lau commune leaders received opinions from schools, as a basis for developing a plan to invest in facilities and equipment to improve the learning environment, attract students to class, and improve the quality of education . Continue to invest in information technology, help students access online learning materials, improve the quality of learning; the commune will propose to competent authorities to consider supplementing the missing teacher staff for schools to ensure the quality of education.
