Song Kon Commune proposes early investment to overcome landslides in Pho village

DNO - On the morning of August 15, a working group from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Da Nang city inspected the landslide site in Dao group, Pho village, Song Kon commune.

At the scene, the working group and local authorities surveyed and assessed the cause, level of danger and damage caused by the landslide.

Chairman of Song Kon Commune People's Committee Do Huu Tung said that the landslide has been happening for about 3 years now, directly threatening 6 households. Due to lack of resources, the locality has not been able to implement a long-term solution...

In addition, the landslide seriously affects the vital national highway 14G; there is a risk of cracking and breaking the concrete road connecting Dao and Aram villages.

At the meeting, the Song Kon commune government proposed to soon invest in building a solid anti-erosion embankment with an estimated cost of about 14 billion VND, to ensure safety before the upcoming storm season.
