Determining the first team to enter the women's semi-finals of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship

From being underestimated, the VietinBank women's volleyball team unexpectedly went far in the 2025 National Women's Volleyball Championship.

VietinBank is a team led by Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet, head coach of the Vietnam national women's volleyball team. In recent years, this club has faced financial and professional difficulties, so it often does not achieve high rankings.

Last year, VietinBank had to fight hard to stay in the league. Therefore, no one rated this team highly when entering this year's tournament. But then, at the end of phase 1 in March, they created many surprises to enter the top 4.

Entering the second stage, VietinBank continued to flourish when facing Geleximco Hung Yen on the afternoon of October 7. The banking team dominated the match, winning by a large margin after only 3 sets with scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-14.

VietinBank's brightest star is young striker Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, who played well in the first phase and is rumored to be going to Indonesia to play. She has shown progress and maturity after many years of training in the national team.

Under the direct guidance of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, Nhu Quynh continued to demonstrate her fiery yet intelligent playing style, becoming one of VietinBank's main scorers against Geleximco Hung Yen.

In addition, Russian foreign player Belyanskaya also made important contributions to this victory. With an easy victory, VietinBank became the first team to officially enter the top 4 of the 2025 National Women's Volleyball Championship, which means a ticket to the semi-finals.

This is a surprising result but completely worthy of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team. In the context of limited potential, they still managed well to go far.

Meanwhile, Geleximco Hung Yen continues to sink deeper into crisis with its 5th loss in the tournament, and is almost certain to have to compete for relegation.
