Blind bags (also known as "blind bags" or surprise bags) are bags where the buyer does not know what is inside, only general suggestions are accessories, toys, models...

Stay up late watching others tear open bags blindly

At 1:30 a.m., Thanh Linh (19 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) was still glued to the blind bag tearing livestream. Linh said that she had ordered a combo of 10 bags from this shop yesterday, so today she came in to wait for the shop owner to read her name and tear open to see what gift she won.

You shared that you first learned about this fun game through a KOL's Labubu blind unpacking video . After that, you continuously came across videos and livestreams with similar content, which attracted Linh and made her addicted to watching without realizing it.

"At first, I watched it by accident, found it quite "engaging" and also suitable for stress relief. But later, there were nights when instead of surfing TikTok or playing games, I actively searched for livestreams to tear open the bag blindly. Feeling excited, I also ordered to be able to open the live session right away," Linh said.

He tore open one bag, two bags, up to a hundred bags. Every night he told himself to watch just a little bit, but every time he looked at the clock, it was already past 2am. He knew quite well that the habit of staying up late and using the phone a lot would cause many harmful effects on his health, but he honestly said, "If I don't watch, then that's fine, but once I start watching, it's very difficult to stop"!

It is the curiosity and anticipation of discovering what is inside the bag that makes this game so incredibly attractive. There is no denying that it is partly thanks to the charming guidance of the livestreamer that attracts viewers even more.

Ms. Anh Thu, owner of an online blind bag shop in Ho Chi Minh City, said the length of the livestream session depends on the number of orders each day. Short livestreams are common for few orders. Many orders have to livestream until 2am the next morning, which is normal.

"There was a time when the latest live was around 2:15 a.m. The live session lasted 7-8 hours, I was also tired. But seeing everyone happily staying to support me until the end, all the tiredness disappeared," Ms. Thu laughed.

Buy it to play with your child

Knowing about this game since it was still available in shops in front of schools, Ms. Tham (29 years old, living in Binh Duong ) said she doesn't know why this toy suddenly became popular again.

"When I was young, I didn't have much money to play, so now I buy some to satisfy my old passion. My child also loves these games. Every time I tear them apart, I find something he likes, which is better than finding a treasure, so I buy some for my children to play with," Ms. Tham bragged.

Unlike many others, Ms. Tham said she does not like to order on livestream because the price difference is so big. She once bought 5 blind bags on livestream for 85,000 VND, while buying the same type of 50 bags on Shopee for 160,000 VND.

Thuy Trang (21 years old, living in Binh Duong) shared that although she likes it, she only watches livestreams and has never ordered anything. She just wants to experience the feeling of surprise to see what is inside, and even if she buys it, she doesn't know how to deal with the items, not to mention the amount of waste from plastic bags after playing.

"I like it, but I think it's a waste of money to buy it and tear it apart yourself. I open up a bunch of toys and don't know what to do with them, so I just watch them online to relieve my addiction," Trang laughed.

Ms. Anh Thu - an online blind bag seller in Ho Chi Minh City - said that currently every shop selling blind bags has a lucky draw promotion when tearing open the bag online on livestream to stimulate buyers.

For shops specializing in glowing charm blind bags like the one you sell, when you tear off a charm that has been previously ordered as a wish or a pair (2 identical models), you will receive an additional bag.
