(BDO) On the morning of June 26, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the 103rd meeting of the Provincial People's Committee. Attending were Mr. Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches and localities.

The meeting considered and gave opinions on the draft Decision on assigning the People's Committee at the commune level after reorganization to perform the task of managing public service units under the People's Committee at the district level.

Overview of the meeting

According to the report of the Department of Home Affairs, in the districts and cities, there are currently 393 public service units at the district level, including: 334 kindergartens, primary schools, and junior high schools; 7 vocational education and continuing education centers at the district level; 15 public service units in the field of culture and information; 8 agricultural service centers; 9 district-level construction investment project management boards; 8 district-level land fund development centers; 5 public works enterprises; 5 children's houses and youth activity centers managed by the district-level Youth Union (Thuan An, Di An, Tan Uyen, Phu Giao, Dau Tieng); 2 bus stations are public service units that self-insure regular expenses and are directly under the professional agencies of the district-level People's Committee (Ben Cat, Bau Bang).

Mr. Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

According to regulations, from July 1, 2025, immediately after being established, the People's Committee at the commune level after the arrangement will issue a decision to establish affiliated public service units according to the prescribed authority on the basis of reorganizing the public service units under the assigned management of the People's Committee at the district level.

The meeting also considered the following contents: proposal to use local budget capital to invest in the project of national defense and security education center belonging to the local military school; investment policy for public investment project: Construction of additional Phuoc Hoa A Primary School; investment policy for public investment project: Construction of additional An Binh Secondary School; partial adjustment of the general planning project of Tan Uyen City until 2040; draft Decision approving the investor of An Binh 7 Industrial Cluster project...

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee basically agreed with the contents presented. Regarding the draft Decision assigning the People's Committees at the commune level to reorganize and perform the task of managing public service units under the People's Committees at the district level, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Home Affairs to edit the wording to be consistent with the regulations and practical conditions submitted to the Provincial People's Committee.
