University admissions in 2025: What should candidates pay attention to?

Candidates for direct admission must also register online on the System.

The Ministry of Education and Training requires all candidates (including candidates admitted directly) to register for admission online, submitting all admission wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training's General Admission Support System (System) directly at http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn or indirectly through the National Public Service Portal.

Candidates need to carefully study the admission information and admission regulations of the training institutions, and not register for majors and training programs that do not meet the requirements. In cases where the training institutions organize separate forms of admission registration, submit applications and evidence directly or online at the training institutions, candidates must follow the regulations of the training institutions but still have to register on the System to be considered for admission together with all other candidates.

All candidates must register for NVXT online on the System.

Candidates must accurately declare and be responsible for the information (timelines according to instructions), including information to enjoy regional priority, priority subjects (if any) at the time of registration for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam (enclose proof of priority subjects if any).

Candidates who register for direct admission and priority admission according to the current Admission Regulations, before 5:00 p.m. on June 30, must submit their direct admission and priority admission application forms to the CSĐT offices according to the CSĐT office's instructions. Candidates who are admitted directly will receive admission information from the CSĐT offices before July 15 and must continue to register for NVXT on the System according to the general schedule.

Candidates use the assigned account to check their high school academic results (report cards) on the System and must report back to the teachers responsible for the high school level where the candidates studied to correct errors (if any) before 5:00 p.m. on June 6. Candidates who have graduated from high school or college (independent candidates) who need to register for the exam but have not yet registered their personal information on the System must register to be granted an account to use for NVXT registration from July 10 to July 20.

Candidates can register and adjust NVXT an unlimited number of times.

From July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28, candidates can register, adjust, and add NVXT an unlimited number of times.

Candidates' wishes to register for all training institutions are ranked from 1 to the end (wish 1 is the highest wish), and candidates must provide data (according to the criteria, conditions, and registration process specified in the recruitment information of the training institutions) corresponding to the major/program that the candidate has registered for so that the training institutions can use it for admission consideration (Detailed instructions for the registration steps are posted right on the System, candidates will access to register).

All candidates' NVXTs to CSĐT will have their wishes processed on the System and each candidate will only be admitted to the highest wish among the registered wishes when ensuring the admission conditions.

Candidates have 13 days to register and adjust NVXT.

From July 29 to 5:00 p.m. August 5, candidates must pay the admission fee according to the number of NVXT candidates online according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Regarding online admission confirmation on the System, before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, all admitted candidates (including direct admission candidates) must confirm their admission on the System (if they wish to study).

From September 1 to December, candidates who need to apply for additional admission rounds of the CSĐT, follow the admission information posted on the CSĐT admission information page (if the CSĐT conducts additional admission, candidates who have passed the entrance exam and confirmed their enrollment will not be considered for additional admission, except in cases where the head of the CSĐT allows them not to enroll).

Candidates submit their application documents to the CSĐT (according to CSĐT's instructions). Candidates who have an aptitude test, or use the aptitude test scores of another CSĐT for admission, must contact CSĐT to register for the exam, take the exam, or submit their aptitude test scores.

The Ministry of Education and Training also requested the Departments of Education and Training to direct high schools to use the accounts and passwords that were provided during the organization of the High School Graduation Exam. Complete the checking, reviewing, updating and confirming of high school learning results on the System before 5:00 p.m. on June 6.

The Ministry of Education and Training noted that from July 16, 2025 to August 15, the CSĐT must assign staff with experience in admissions to be on duty, advise, guide, and support candidates in admissions. From August 6, 2025 to 5:00 p.m. on August 12, the CSĐT will coordinate with relevant units to review data on the System before uploading data and admission information.

From August 13 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20, according to the time frames, the CSĐT will upload data and admission information on the System, organize the admission of candidates' registered wishes to the CSĐT corresponding to the candidate's provided data to serve the admission to the industry/program, and process NVXT on the System to determine the highest wish among NVXT that the candidate is eligible to be admitted.

The training institutions must require all candidates to confirm their admission online on the System before enrolling at the training institutions. At the same time, measures must be taken to control the preliminary and secondary admission conditions, to prevent the situation where candidates are admitted but are disqualified upon admission due to: Not meeting the preliminary and secondary admission conditions, health conditions, or not meeting the requirements for academic records; proactively resolve and coordinate with relevant training institutions to resolve the legitimate rights of candidates in risky cases, and resolve the issue of candidates being transferred or transferred due to errors in the recruitment process.
