The Spring of the Year of the Horse (Bính Ngọ) holds special significance, associated with traditional national festivals and celebrations. The increased demand for travel, trade, sightseeing, and tourism creates potential security and order challenges. Given its mountainous location and over 277 km of border shared with Yunnan and Guangxi provinces (China), ensuring security and order, especially in border and highland areas, is paramount. Recognizing this, the Party Committee and leadership of the Tuyên Quang Provincial Police have proactively and decisively led and directed the comprehensive implementation of various tasks, with the ultimate goal of maintaining stable security and order, ensuring that the people can enjoy a safe and healthy Spring Festival.

Comrade Lieutenant General Nguyen Duc Thuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police, affirmed: “Throughout the leadership and direction of the Provincial Police Party Committee is the motto: ‘The best security and order - the best service to the people.’ Simultaneously, the Provincial Police continue to strengthen close coordination with the Military , Border Guard, and local agencies, departments, and organizations in protecting border security, maintaining national and religious security; and promoting propaganda and mobilization of the people to raise awareness of law compliance and actively participate in the nationwide movement to protect national security.”
The provincial police have launched a concentrated campaign to attack and suppress crime, ensuring absolute security and safety for the 14th National Congress of the Party, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly, the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
The spirit of "three bests"
The Criminal Police Department has implemented a comprehensive set of operational measures, directing 100% of officers and soldiers in the operational teams and local investigation units to closely monitor their assigned areas and fields of responsibility, consistently adhering to the motto "Focus on prevention from early on, from afar, and from the grassroots; fight relentlessly and strictly punish all types of crime."
On all transportation routes, the traffic police force maintained a round-the-clock duty schedule, with 100% of its personnel on standby. Comrade Le Duy Hien, Team Leader of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police, stated: During the Tet holiday, the entire provincial traffic police force maintained a spirit of "readiness to undertake tasks and be on duty throughout Tet," proactively implementing measures to ensure traffic order and safety on all road and inland waterway routes, with a spirit of upholding the law, "no forbidden areas, no exceptions."
At the grassroots level, the spirit of combat readiness is always at its highest. Implementing the "Three Best" emulation movement: Most Disciplined - Most Loyal - Closest to the People, each officer and soldier, undeterred by difficulties, worked throughout the Tet holiday to promptly handle any arising situations. Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Ngoc Anh, Head of Minh Xuan Ward Police, shared that Minh Xuan Ward Police clearly demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and political determination, strictly maintaining the duty roster, promptly detecting and effectively handling any arising situations, preventing any passive or unexpected situations. The ward police force always keeps in mind that the joy and peace of the people during Tet is the joy and motivation for each officer and soldier.
A new spring has arrived in the revolutionary homeland of Tuyen Quang. Amidst the vibrant spring colors, the silent sacrifices of the police officers are the steadfast "green shields" that compose a harmonious symphony of joy, faith, and peace for every home.
