Providing reserve goods to Quang Ngai and Tuyen Quang to overcome natural disasters

(Chinhphu.vn) - Hundreds of tons of rice and rescue equipment from the national reserve are being transferred to Quang Ngai and Tuyen Quang. This is a timely direction from the Ministry of Finance to support localities in responding to and overcoming the consequences caused by storm No. 10.

The Ministry of Finance has just issued two decisions No. 3675/QD-BTC and 3676/QD-BTC, on the issuance of food, supplies and national reserve equipment to support people in Tuyen Quang and Quang Ngai provinces to overcome the consequences of natural disasters after storm No. 10.

Accordingly, the State Reserve Department (SR) has assigned the Regional SR Department IV to issue 703,905 kg of national reserve rice to be stored in 2025 (phase 1) to the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province. This amount of rice will be transferred to communes, wards and towns according to the province's allocation plan, with the delivery deadline completed before November 25, 2025.

The Department of National Reserves also assigned the Department of National Reserves in Region X to provide (free of charge) many rescue supplies and equipment from the national reserve to the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, to respond to natural disasters, incidents and rescue work in 2025.

Specifically, the DTNN Sub-Department of Area X issued: 1 set of DT3 speedboats, 20 sets of lightweight life-saving tents (24.5m²), 2,000 round buoys, 4,000 life jackets, 40 lightweight rescue rafts, 2 sets of concrete drilling machines, 5 sets of fire-fighting water pumps, 3 sets of generators (30KVA, 50KVA, 137KVA), 2 sets of drilling and cutting equipment and 3 sets of rescue rope launchers.

The issuance and handover are carried out at the national reserve warehouse door, on the receiving unit's means of transport, with the completion deadline being November 30, 2025.

The leaders of the National Reserve Department requested the heads of the Sub-Departments of Regions IV and X to urgently coordinate with local authorities to organize the reception and distribution of goods, ensuring compliance with regulations, the right purpose and the right beneficiaries. Units must strengthen supervision and inspection of the distribution process to avoid loss or misuse of national reserve goods.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment in Region X has coordinated with the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province to unify the list of recipients and locations for allocating supplies and equipment, ensuring that relief goods reach the right place and the right people.
