Electricity workers are urgently repairing damage caused by floods.
On the 110kV power grid, one 110kV Dak Mil 4 - Phuoc Son line and one double-circuit customer line from Tra My - Song Tranh 2 substation are currently out of service and temporarily isolated for safety reasons. The Phuoc Son and Nam Tra My 110kV substations are still unable to resume operation due to the rugged terrain and prolonged heavy rain.
Da Nang Power Company is urgently inspecting the power grid and plans to restore power to the 110kV Phuoc Son substation via the 22kV 471/TTG Hiep Duc line and to the 110kV Nam Tra My substation via the Nuoc Xa intermediate line.
On the medium-voltage power grid, EVNCPC as a whole recorded 577 incidents and power outages due to flooding, of which 290 have been restored.
Currently, 309,404 customers are still without electricity, accounting for 6.26% of the total number of customers in EVNCPC, mainly concentrated in the four power companies of Da Nang, Hue, Quang Ngai , and Quang Tri, representing 13.01% of the customers of these four units.
The total number of distribution substations affected by the power outage is 2,720, accounting for 4.73% of EVNCPC's total (10.68% of the total number of substations of the four aforementioned Power Companies). The estimated unrecovered power capacity is approximately 175.82 MW, equivalent to 4.82% of EVNCPC's total peak capacity and 8.15% of the peak capacity of the four affected companies.

As the floodwaters recede, electricity workers are working hard to restore power to customers as quickly as possible.
Da Nang was the most severely affected area, with 225,081 customers (25.68%) and 2,031 distribution substations (19.76%) experiencing power outages, estimated at 121.2 MW (13.33%). Disruptions are still occurring in 60 communes and wards.
In Hue City, there are currently 74,384 customers (21.65%) and 522 distribution substations (18.17%) without electricity, with an estimated power loss of 52 MW (19.12%). The affected areas are mainly located in 25 communes and wards.
In Quang Tri province, there are still 7,312 customers (1.40%) and 53 distribution substations (0.92%) without electricity, with an estimated power loss of 1.6 MW (0.37%), mainly in parts of Trieu Phong, Quang Trach, Trung Thuan and Ba Don communes and wards.
In Quang Ngai province, there are currently 2,627 customers (0.42%), 84 distribution substations (1.31%), and an estimated power loss of 1.02 MW (0.19%). Areas still experiencing power outages include Son Tay Thuong, Minh Long, Tay Tra, Mang But, and part of Dak Plo commune.
EVNCPC has directed its affiliated power companies to mobilize maximum manpower and equipment, and to coordinate closely with local authorities to ensure electrical safety and promptly restore electricity supply to customers as soon as possible, especially to critical loads such as hospitals, administrative agencies, and residential areas that have been cut off.
EVNCPC General Director Ngo Tan Cu said: "EVNCPC identifies the task of restoring electricity after the floods as urgent, but safety must be prioritized. EVNCPC requires its units to maintain 24/7 readiness, mobilize maximum manpower, equipment and materials, proactively handle incidents, and restore electricity as soon as the water recedes and safety conditions are ensured."
"Wherever the floodwaters recede, inspect the power system to ensure safety and restore electricity to customers immediately. Within 3 to 5 days, all units must complete the restoration of the entire power grid after the flood," the General Director of EVNCPC instructed.
