This project provides a high-quality, stable power supply to support the first test flight on December 19th and the initial operational phase of Long Thanh Airport.

Mr. Truong Dinh Quoc, Director of Dong Nai Power Company, said that the project, with a total investment of over 158 billion VND, is being implemented by Dong Nai Power Company in two phases.

The main components and technologies of the project include: power line component: a 110kV, double-circuit line with a length of 3.8km; substation component including 2 x 40MVA transformers (total 80MVA) and 6 x 22kV outgoing lines directly supplying power to the airport load.

Dong Nai Power Company stated that the substation was designed to meet the standards of an unmanned 110kV substation set by the Southern Power Corporation.

The entire monitoring and control system is digitized and remotely controlled via the SCADA system, complying with the international IEC 61850 protocol.

This system allows for real-time monitoring of equipment status, ensuring the highest level of power supply reliability.

According to Dong Nai Power Company, the power sector recently coordinated with Vietnam Airports Corporation to successfully connect to the 22kV lines, officially integrating the Long Thanh airport's internal distribution system into the national power grid.

This also marks a significant completion of the airport's power supply infrastructure, ensuring the energy source for the trial run of the entire terminal and air traffic control tower system for the historic technical flight event on December 19th.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Quoc Hoan, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Electricity Corporation, commended Dong Nai Power Company, contractors, and related units for completing the project ahead of schedule, ensuring timely power supply for the first flight at Long Thanh Airport.

According to Mr. Hoan, the completion of the Long Thanh Airport 110kV substation and connecting power lines has significantly contributed to ensuring a continuous, high-quality power supply for Long Thanh Airport operations and guaranteeing voltage quality, improving the reliability of power supply to the surrounding area.

Simultaneously, it creates a foundation for electricity infrastructure that is "one step ahead," aligning with the development strategy of Long Thanh Airport, which has a capacity of up to 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo per year.

In particular, before the project is put into operation, the Southern Power Corporation requested the Dong Nai Power Company to make every effort to ensure a stable, continuous, and safe power supply to the Long Thanh airport "mega-construction site," making a significant contribution to the airport project's completion of important construction milestones.

This is clear evidence of the responsibility, competence, and commitment of the entire staff of the Southern Power Corporation in supplying electricity within its management area and to key national projects.

Commitment to providing sufficient electricity to serve all facilities at Long Thanh Airport.

According to Dong Nai Power Company, the airport construction area currently consumes an average of 730,000 kWh per month (a consumption level equivalent to that of a large enterprise).

Therefore, the company has calculated multi-layered contingency plans and prepared scenarios for handling incidents and ensuring rapid power transfer in all situations. At the same time, it ensures sufficient power for the accelerated completion of projects such as terminals, runways, aprons, fuel systems, security screening, etc.
