Strange team appears to want to save Antony's career

Como FC are trying to sign Antony - the out-of-favour winger at MU.

The Brazilian star has endured a miserable time at Old Trafford, failing to live up to expectations following his £86million move from Ajax.

Antony has scored 12 goals and provided 5 assists in 96 appearances for MU. His contract with the Red Devils is valid until June 2027.

Earlier this year, Antony was sent on loan to Betis and shone brightly, contributing 14 goals as the La Liga side reached the Conference League final.

Antony received much praise from experts and was called up to the Brazilian national team. However, he is still not in the long-term plans of coach Amorim.

MU is ready to sell Antony this summer to get the money to reinvest. Real Betis really wants to buy him but doesn't have enough financial resources.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Como are the latest team to express interest in Antony.

The Serie A side are managed by Cesc Fabregas and have Dele Alli in their squad. Como finished 10th in the domestic league last season despite being newly promoted.

Last summer, Raphael Varane also left MU to join Como. However, a serious injury forced the French midfielder to retire early.
