According to Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade - Chau Thi Le, with positive signs of recovery from the market, increased export orders from enterprises, import-export activities in the province have shown signs of improvement, especially in the first 7 months of 2024.

Specifically, import-export turnover in July 2024 is estimated at about 1.020 billion USD, of which, export is estimated at 630 million USD, up 6.24% over the same period; import is estimated at 390 million USD, up 9.86% over the same period.

Accumulated from the beginning of 2024 to present, import-export turnover is estimated at more than 7.1 billion USD, of which export is estimated at more than 4.3 billion USD, up 14.33% over the same period; import is estimated at nearly 2.8 billion USD, up 15.88% over the same period.

With the openness of the economy , Vietnam is currently participating in global value chains and signing free trade agreements, opening up many opportunities for import and export growth.

The Department of Industry and Trade regularly coordinates with relevant units to disseminate the contents of agreements and commitments for each sector so that enterprises can proactively prepare conditions for participating in the market; coordinate with enterprises to regularly review and propose the removal of barriers to production and business activities of enterprises; actively support enterprises in carrying out trade promotion activities and market development; support enterprises in applying digital commerce to develop the market.

At the same time, the Department coordinates with agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnamese Trade Counselor in other countries to welcome foreign business delegations to exchange and purchase goods as well as support in solving problems arising in the process of importing and exporting goods in the host country, etc. Thereby, helping businesses to learn about the market, approach customers, and have the opportunity to participate in the global value chain.
