Promoting Hung Yen tourism destination in 2025

The conference is part of a series of activities of the Hung Yen Culture, Sports and Tourism Week 2025, held from November 19 to 23, aiming to widely introduce the unique values of Hung Yen's heritage and cultural treasures; create a space for connection and cultural exchange between localities inside and outside the province; at the same time, promote destinations and typical tourism products, opening up cooperation opportunities for tourism businesses.

This is also part of the plan to promote and advertise Hung Yen tourism according to Plan No. 105/KH-UBND dated May 22, 2025 and implement Official Dispatch No. 34/CD-TTg dated April 10, 2025 of the Government with the goal of promoting tourism development, creating momentum for the local economy to grow by double digits.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province Pham Van Hieu said: Hung Yen province has 3,563 relics; of which, 303 relics are ranked nationally, 6 relics are ranked as special national relics, 897 relics are ranked at provincial level, 29 national intangible cultural heritages, 10 national treasures, 585 traditional festivals, 58 folk performing arts...

In the flow of innovation and integration, the province is gradually affirming itself as an attractive destination on the Northern tourism map. The province's tourism product structure mainly exploits the following types: tourism to visit historical and cultural relics; traditional folk festival tourism; eco-tourism, resorts; agricultural tourism associated with craft villages, river tourism, sea tourism...

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen Pham Van Hieu delivered the opening speech at the conference.

Participating in the discussion at the conference, representatives of travel agencies assessed that Hung Yen tourism has a lot of potential and strengths. However, compared to expectations, the efficiency of exploitation and contribution to the socio-economic development of the locality is not up to par. The system of accommodation and services is still lacking and degraded; tourism products are not diverse and duplicated... Tourists coming to the province have a short stay because there are no tourist destinations that meet the requirements of attractiveness, uniqueness, connection and experience.

Giving advice on developing Hung Yen tourism in the coming time, delegates said that the locality needs to promote the development of types such as: cultural - spiritual tourism associated with the system of historical relics; eco-tourism - resorts in riverside areas, green agricultural areas; experience tourism in craft villages, community tourism; connecting tours - routes with Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh ... to build a sustainable regional tourism system. At the same time, build cross-provincial tourism tours, connect heritage - culture - ecology, support the development of policies to promote long-term stays.
