Inauguration of the first PepsiCo Food Factory in the North, with a capacity of 25,000 tons of snacks/year

PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory has a total investment of about 90 million USD, built on an area of 80,000 m2 in Dong Van 1 Industrial Park expansion, with the goal of reaching a capacity of more than 25,000 tons of snacks per year.

General Director of PepsiCo Foods Vietnam Company Limited Nguyen Viet Ha said that the factory was completed in only about 51 weeks - a record for PepsiCo in the Asia -Pacific region.

The factory is equipped with advanced production lines, integrating automation and digitalization, improving product quality, optimizing operations, ensuring efficiency and stability. The entire process from receiving raw materials to finished products is managed with high speed, accuracy and sustainability.

With the orientation of environmental protection and sustainable development, in line with the PepsiCo Positive (pep+) strategy - the group's comprehensive transformation program, the Factory is designed with renewable energy solutions such as rooftop solar power systems and biomass systems using agricultural by-products to generate energy.

PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory is expected to create more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs in the fields of production, packaging, and logistics, while supporting community development and expanding local raw material areas.

PepsiCo Asia-Pacific CEO Anne Tse said the new plant will complement the existing network, open up more growth opportunities, strengthen cooperation with local farmers and create more jobs for the community.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper emphasized that the PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory demonstrates the strong confidence of US businesses in Vietnam. In particular, the Factory was completed on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United States.

Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son emphasized that the operation of PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory not only brings many important socio-economic values but is also a typical model for international investment cooperation, contributing to deepening the Vietnam - US friendship.

The presence of the Factory also affirms the role of Ninh Binh in the integration and sustainable development process, being an attractive destination for the world's leading corporations thanks to its transparent business environment, stable policies, abundant human resources and increasingly complete infrastructure system.

This is also an important milestone in the strategy of developing a sustainable industrial center, linking industry-agriculture-services, opening up opportunities for regional connectivity and promoting modern, efficient, green and sustainable agriculture.

The Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee requested the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks to continue to accompany businesses, creating the most favorable conditions in the process of operating and expanding production.

On the part of PepsiCo Foods Vietnam Co., Ltd., Mr. Son suggested continuing to promote the spirit of social responsibility, linking production with the goal of sustainable development, focusing on environmental protection, and taking care of the material and spiritual life of workers.
