100% of medical examination and treatment facilities are classified as having technical expertise.

BHG - Pursuant to the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment (KCB) 2023 and related decrees and decisions on the implementation of technical and professional classification of medical examination and treatment facilities; the Department of Health has completed all technical and professional classification assessment of medical examination and treatment facilities according to assigned authority.

Bac Quang Regional General Hospital is classified as a basic medical examination and treatment facility.

Accordingly, the whole province has 212 medical examination and treatment facilities classified as technical expertise; of which, there are 17 facilities classified as basic medical examination and treatment facilities and 195 facilities classified as initial medical examination and treatment facilities. Specific results: Basic medical examination and treatment facilities include 5 public hospitals at the provincial level, 11 general hospitals at the district level; initial medical examination and treatment facilities include 175 commune and ward health stations, 18 regional general clinics and 3 private medical examination and treatment facilities. Medical examination and treatment facilities are technically performed according to the approved professional level and are allowed to perform techniques of other levels if they meet the conditions according to the provisions of law.

Medical facility technical expertise is assessed at 3 levels: Initial level, basic level and advanced level. The assessment is based on groups of criteria such as capacity to provide medical examination and treatment services, scope of professional activities, participation in medical practice training, scientific research in medicine... In particular, from 2025, in addition to assessing quality by the set of 83 hospital quality criteria, facilities must implement the set of hospital quality standards according to Articles 89, 90 and 104 of Decree 96 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment. Through the ranking of technical expertise, the Department of Health will clearly understand the current situation of hospitals and medical facilities and create a healthy competitive environment, promoting high-quality medical services in the locality.
