Le Thanh Ton Street, Nha Trang City is renovated, underground power and telecommunication cable systems.

The project to upgrade and renovate sidewalks and build new underground technical infrastructure works for shared use on Le Thanh Ton Street (from the 6-way intersection to Tran Phu Street) started in February and is expected to be completed in August 2025. The project will build a technical trench under the road, the depth of the trench cover compared to the finished road surface is 0.7m. In addition to the existing technical trenches across the road, 4 more technical trenches will be arranged across the road. The entire cable system of the telecommunications unit, power cables, and lighting system cables will be buried underground. After completing the undergrounding of the technical infrastructure system, the construction unit will restore the sidewalk to ensure aesthetics, pave granite, arrange access for the disabled; and plant suitable trees in the missing locations. The project has a total investment of more than 30.4 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Danh - Director of the Nha Trang City Construction Project Management Board said that the goal of the project is to upgrade and renovate sidewalks in a synchronous manner on all roads, build underground works to concentrate and position the technical infrastructure system in a modern direction, create open space, and ensure urban aesthetics. According to Mr. Danh, the project cannot be constructed quickly because it requires underground electrical and telecommunications equipment... related to many service providers. Currently, Khanh Anh Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (construction contractor) must work with service providers to unify and coordinate implementation. The management board has reminded the construction contractor to try to find solutions to speed up the progress; during the construction process, it is necessary to ensure safety for traffic participants, limit the bringing of vehicles and machinery onto the roadway, and clean up neatly and cleanly as construction progresses...

Talking to reporters, Mr. Le Chi Hung - Director of Khanh Anh Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company said that the construction of sidewalks and underground power lines and communication lines is very complicated. The company has to coordinate with many units such as Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company; VNPT Khanh Hoa; Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Areas of Nha Trang City... to unify the implementation method; so far the progress has met the requirements. Due to underground construction, the unit has to dig deep and fence it off to ensure safety, which has somewhat affected traffic on Le Thanh Ton Street. The company is trying to speed up the progress, returning the ground as it is completed to ensure traffic safety for the people.
