11,000 athletes reunite at the 2025 Da Nang Marathon

(NLDO)- The VnExpress Marathon Da Nang 2025 will officially start in Da Nang City on July 20.

On the morning of July 18, the Organizing Committee of the VnExpress Marathon Da Nang 2025 held a press conference to inform about this race. This is the second time that the national-scale race of VnExpress Newspaper and FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company has returned to Da Nang.

This year's tournament brings together 11,000 athletes, competing in 4 distances: 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km, starting at Phan Dang Luu Street. The three short distances (5 km, 10 km, 21 km) will finish at Tien Son Sports Palace, while the 42 km distance will finish on Vo Nguyen Giap Street - the coastal route with the city's symbol.

With a distance of 42 km - the biggest challenge of the tournament, athletes will depart at 2:30 am. The running route takes athletes across Nguyen Tat Thanh street near the sea, Thuan Phuoc bridge, Man Quang area and Vo Nguyen Giap - Hoang Sa street.

The entire running route of the tournament is measured and certified by the Vietnam Athletics Federation.

Along the route, the Organizing Committee arranged 20 water stations and 15 medical stations with more than 250 crew members, more than 1,000 volunteers, along with medical staff, local police...

Before the official competition day, on the morning of July 19, about 2,000 children from 6 to 10 years old in Da Nang will participate in Kun Marathon - a free race within the framework of the event.

This is a gentle, safe playground that helps children practice physical exercise, increase confidence and have more fun memories with friends and family.
