On July 18, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the additional admission scores (round 2) to grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year.

The entrance exam for grade 10 of public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year took place on June 7 and 8 with about 103,000 candidates taking the exam. The admission scores (first round) for the schools were announced by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training on July 4, the same day students learned the exam results.

Hanoi Department of Education and Training notes: Students must meet the admission requirements according to regulations but do not pass the registered wishes to be able to register for admission to one of the four high schools: Minh Quang, Phuc Loi, Phuc Thinh, Do Muoi.

Additional admission scores for grade 10 of each school are as follows:

When lowering the benchmark, the school is allowed to accept students with wishes (NV) 1, NV2, NV3 who meet the additional admission requirements.

Students admitted to NV2 supplementary admission must have an admission score at least 1.0 point higher than the school's supplementary admission score; students admitted to NV3 supplementary admission must have an admission score at least 2.0 points higher than the school's supplementary admission standard score.

Minh Quang High School is recruiting additional students from the entire city for those who are eligible for admission but did not pass the NV registration and have an admission score of 12.00 points or higher (remaining quota: 63 students).

Phuc Loi High School is recruiting additional students throughout the city for students who are eligible for admission but did not pass the NV registration and have an admission score of 16.50 or higher (remaining quota: 103 students).

In case the school has NV1 lowers the standard and the student is eligible for admission but has enrolled in NV2, the student has the right to withdraw the application from the school he/she was enrolled in to transfer to the school with NV1. The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has directed schools to create maximum convenience for students in withdrawing their application.

Students should note that in this additional admission round, they need to come directly to the school to register for admission, not online admission like students admitted in the first round.

Students who are eligible for additional admission will submit their admission application directly to the school where they are admitted, from 8:00 a.m. on July 19 to 5:00 p.m. on July 22, 2025.

If in this additional admission round students are not admitted to any public school, they can register to take admission to private schools, vocational education - continuing education centers or vocational education facilities.
