The contest opened on May 9, 2025, with the participation of 11 teams representing 11 districts, towns and cities. Each team consists of 10 outstanding 5th grade students. The contestants will go through 3 contest contents, including: Individual contest - Math and Vietnamese (questions in Vietnamese, answers are mainly multiple choice); relay contest - Math (questions in Vietnamese, answers in English), Vietnamese (questions and answers in Vietnamese); tourism contest - Math (questions in English, answers in English), Vietnamese (questions and answers in Vietnamese).

At the closing ceremony, the Departmentof Education and Training awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 110 individuals who won prizes in the "Literature - Math for Children" contest for primary school students, school year 2024 - 2025.

The "Literature - Math for Children" contest is a new activity, held for the first time in An Giang province, to realize the spirit of innovation in general education according to the orientation of developing students' capacity of the 2018 General Education Program.
