(GLO)- In recent years, the emulation movement "Military Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings" has been deployed by the 34th Army Corps with specific and practical actions, contributing to ensuring logistics for combat readiness missions.

Typical examples

The 234th Air Defense Artillery Brigade is one of the typical units of the 34th Corps in carrying out logistics support work. Along with the construction of a concentrated production area in Hnol commune (Dak Doa district), the Brigade also effectively implemented the model of growing mulberry and raising silkworms and cultivating 20 hectares of coffee. Thanks to that, the Brigade has proactively ensured over 104% of the needs for food, meat, fish, and vegetables for the entire unit.

Every month, officers and soldiers in the unit also earn an additional 45,000 VND/person from the increase. Hygiene and disease prevention work is carried out seriously, the rate of healthy soldiers reaches 99.09%. In 5 years (2020-2025), the unit has invested more than 21.7 billion VND to build and repair works such as multi-purpose gymnasiums, mini soccer fields, tennis courts, and pickleball courts.

With outstanding achievements in the task of ensuring logistics, training, and combat readiness, the 234th Air Defense Artillery Brigade was awarded the flag "Excellent Unit in the Emulation Movement in 2023" by the Government . Colonel Tran Duy Hai - Brigade Commander personally achieved the title of Emulation Fighter at the Corps level for 3 years (2020, 2023, 2024).

In 2025, Colonel Hai was awarded a certificate of merit by the Corps Command for his excellent completion of the goals and tasks in implementing the emulation movement "Building a good military unit and good military logistics management" for the fourth time, period 2020-2025.

"As a Brigade Commander, I always strive to take the lead in carrying out all tasks so that officers and soldiers in the unit actively respond to the implementation," Colonel Hai shared.

Similarly, Division 9 is also a bright spot of the 34th Corps in effectively implementing the emulation movement "The Army Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings". Each year, the unit produces 4,226.7 tons of green vegetables, 454.5 tons of livestock meat, 473.4 tons of poultry meat and 2,116.6 tons of various types of fish.

The unit is also a bright spot in the environmental landscape, building and repairing many works, ensuring adequate electricity and water for daily life. The Quartermaster Department has done a good job of decentralizing food sources, while the Transportation Department has maintained the movement of "Managing and using gasoline safely, economically and effectively".

Officers and soldiers have many technical innovations such as: picnic food preparation tools; multi-purpose tools for transporting materials and wounded soldiers; tools for storing food for picnic exercises... which have been effectively applied in the unit.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tat Duong - Head of Logistics and Engineering (Division 9) informed: "In the period of 2020-2025, the Division was awarded many titles and awards, including the emulation flag of the Ministry of National Defense (2020, 2022, 2023), the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal (2020), Third Class (2021) and many certificates of merit from the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics".

Improve the quality of logistics work

In the 5 years (2020-2025), the Corps always reserves enough logistics materials, is ready to fight according to regulations, ensures synchronization, and high quality. Production increase work has achieved outstanding results, in which, green vegetable output exceeds 4.6%, poultry eggs exceed 16%, and pork exceeds 2%.

The total savings from logistics activities reached 98.9 billion VND, contributing to improving the lives of soldiers. The 34th Corps also organized medical examinations and provided free medicine to more than 2,670 people in the localities where they were stationed and mobilized officers and soldiers to donate 3,736 units of blood.

The basic construction work also made its mark with 194,593 m² of construction floor, 477,772 m² of renovated houses, 189,705 m² of flower gardens and lawns in the entire unit being invested and upgraded. The system of petroleum depots and means of transport are strictly managed, ensuring absolute safety.

The transportation of people, goods, equipment and weapons ensures combat readiness and safety in all aspects. In competitions and inspections at the ministerial level, the Corps has always achieved high awards. For example, at the Army-wide Nursing Competition (2023), the 34th Corps won first place overall. In 2024, the unit won an excellent award for inspecting the tactical fuel depot.

Talking to us, Colonel Le Dinh Viet - Head of Logistics and Engineering (34th Corps) - said: Implementing the emulation movement "Army Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings" in the period of 2020-2025, the Department of Logistics and Engineering and agencies and units in the Corps have achieved many practical results, completing the set goals and targets.

Some typical agencies and units implementing this movement are the Logistics and Engineering Department, Air Defense Artillery Brigade 234, and Division 9.
