Celebrating 50 years of Thai Binh College of Culture and Arts

On the morning of May 17, Thai Binh College of Culture and Arts held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Comrade Dang Thanh Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council congratulated Thai Binh College of Culture and Arts.

Thai Binh College of Culture and Arts, formerly the School of Cultural Information, was established by the Provincial People's Committee on July 5, 1975. In 1978, the Ministry of Culture and Information assigned the school to provide training for the northern provinces. In 1988, the Provincial People's Committee decided to upgrade the school to the Intermediate School of Culture and Arts. In 2005, the Ministry of Education and Training established Thai Binh College of Culture and Arts on the basis of the Intermediate School of Culture and Arts. Over the past 50 years, Thai Binh College of Culture and Arts has been flexible in teaching activities, with 25 different professions trained by the school, meeting the practical needs of the locality and the country. The school has trained more than 6,000 secondary school students, more than 3,000 college students, nearly 2,000 university students and tens of thousands of cultural and information officers, and Cheo singing and dancing cores serving the grassroots cultural movement. The school has a team of highly qualified lecturers: 100% are university graduates, over 70% have master's and doctoral degrees. Currently, the school is training 6 college-level majors and 8 intermediate-level majors. On average, the school maintains a stable 400-500 students each year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of generations of cadres, lecturers, students and pupils of the school. He requested the school to continue to effectively carry out a number of key tasks: building and improving the quality of the teaching staff and management staff to meet social requirements; expanding the scale and diversifying training professions, especially researching and opening new majors such as: College of Tour Guide, Event Organization, Graphic Design and training classes according to learners' needs. Continue to improve the quality of training, build and effectively operate the quality assurance system, affirm the prestige and brand of the school in the field of culture and arts. Promote the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, self-control - responsibility and the desire to rise up, compete to carry out movements well, especially the movement "Teach well - learn well".

Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to the school.

At the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the school and 2 individuals with outstanding achievements. The school leaders awarded certificates to the artists whose works participated in the painting exhibition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the school's founding; the sponsor's representative presented meaningful gifts to the school's students.

On this occasion, comrade Dang Thanh Giang, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and delegates cut the ribbon to open the painting exhibition at Thai Binh College of Culture and Arts and visited the exhibition.
