The play "Against the current of peace" about the fire police is about to be performed.

Towards the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025), Hanoi City Police in coordination with the Vietnam Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Association and the Vietnam Drama Theater organized a program to perform and introduce the play "Against the Peaceful Current" at 7:30 p.m. on May 21 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace, Hanoi.

The play “Against the direction of peace” composed by author Thien An, directed by Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu, was inspired by a true story, vividly and emotionally reflecting the images of Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police officers - brave people who “go against the direction of peace” to rush into dangerous places, fight for life in the sea of ​​fire, bringing safety to the people.

Artist Van Duong Thanh's exhibition "Hanoi and Seoul Spring" takes place from May 17 to June 7, 2025 at 49 Nguyen Du, Hanoi.

The exhibition introduces 25 latest lacquer and oil paintings, inspired by the timeless beauty of Hanoi's Old Quarter, thousand-year-old pagodas and temples, and the fresh nature of Vietnam, interwoven with the image of the largest pagoda in Seoul in spring. The works have an abstract, musical style, typical of Van Duong Thanh's artistic language with splendid yet gentle colors, expressing the harmony between tradition and modernity, between Vietnamese and Korean culture.

As the first Vietnamese person to be selected for the International Excellence of Arts program, Van Duong Thanh has had 115 solo exhibitions domestically and internationally, displaying about 2,000 paintings. She has made many contributions to Vietnam's cultural diplomacy , one of which is the coordination of more than 50 exhibitions celebrating Vietnam's National Day abroad.

Masterpiece “Sans Famille” enters Vietnamese musical space

On the occasion of International Children's Day June 1, the Youth Theater will introduce to art-loving audiences the musical "Sans Famille", adapted from the literary masterpiece of the same name by French writer Hector Malot.

“Sans Famille” is Hector Malot's most famous work, first published in 1878. Since its publication, the novel has quickly become a literary phenomenon in France and then famous worldwide, especially loved in the fields of children's literature,education and popular culture.

Staged for the first time on the Youth Theater stage, the musical directed by Meritorious Artist Le Anh Tuyet and adapted by screenwriter Bui Hong Que brought a performance full of passion. With a duration of just over an hour, the creative team skillfully distilled the best from the original work, vividly and emotionally recreating an artistic picture imbued with humanity.
