Strive to soon publish the book series History of Thai Nguyen province

According to the assessment of the members of the Appraisal Council and scientists, the manuscript of the book series History of Thai Nguyen Province (2 volumes) is a large-scale scientific work, meticulously and methodically carried out by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Project Management Board and members of the Drafting Board, inheriting and exploiting historical, geographical and archaeological sources, combining appropriate historical research methods.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Project Manager, spoke at the Conference.

The manuscript of the book has outlined a continuous, unified and unique historical "picture" of Thai Nguyen land - from its origin to the present; at the same time, it highlights the role and position of Thai Nguyen in the flow of national history. This is a work of high documentary value, effectively used in traditional education, scientific research, preserving local history and cultural identity.

In addition, the members of the Appraisal Council and scientists also noted that the Drafting Committee should continue to research, edit, and supplement some ideas about the specific characteristics of Thai Nguyen in each period, compare with neighboring localities to clarify the role of the province in each period; supplement and update more illustrations and new documents, ensuring timeliness; at the same time, pay attention to perfecting the sequence of the text from the introduction to the conclusion...

The members of the Appraisal Council and scientists also suggested that after publication, the book series should be digitized to serve the study, research and education of local history for officials, civil servants, people and in schools in a convenient and effective manner.

At the Conference, the Appraisal Council unanimously approved the content of the manuscript (2 volumes) of the book series History of Thai Nguyen province.

Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung delivered a concluding speech at the Conference.

Concluding the Conference, on behalf of the Appraisal Council, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung highly appreciated the efforts of the Drafting Committee and the Project Management Board. He assigned the members of the Appraisal Council and departments, branches, sectors, units and localities in the province to continue researching and providing comments on the two drafts, and send their comments in writing to the Drafting Committee and the Project Management Board.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the Drafting Committee and the Project Management Board to fully absorb the opinions at the Conference and the comments of organizations and individuals outside the Appraisal Council to continue to perfect the content of the draft, ensuring quality. In particular, it is important to update the organization, arrangement and merger of administrative units; supplement documents, materials and images related to President Ho Chi Minh and Thai Nguyen... Contents with different opinions need to be discussed between the drafting agency and the organizations and individuals who contributed comments to clarify and reach consensus.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Department of Science and Technology to closely coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in the implementation process, striving to complete and publish the book series History of Thai Nguyen province as soon as possible.

Previously, Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee and Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics organized many scientific seminars to contribute comments to the draft content of the book series History of Thai Nguyen Province, volume 1 and volume 2.
