150 Literature exams had their scores increased after re-examination, Khanh Hoa clarified the responsibility of the examiners

Of the 346 Literature exams taken by candidates in the 2025 high school graduation exam in Khanh Hoa province, 150 had their scores increased by 0.25-0.75 points after being reviewed. The education sector requested clarification of the responsibilities of the examiners.

On August 15, speaking with VietNamNet , the leader of the Khanh Hoa Province Department of Education and Training said that the locality has widely announced the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam review. Of the 150 exams with changed scores after the review, two exams increased by 0.5 and 0.75 points. The provincial Department of Education and Training requested relevant units to clarify the responsibility of the examiners for the above two exams.

The Department of Education and Training said that for an essay subject like Literature, a difference of 0.25 points after the re-examination is acceptable because the examiner's grading depends on the assessment, perception and expression of the candidate. However, in cases where the exam score increases by more than 0.5 points after the re-examination, the professional responsibility of the examiner needs to be considered.

The Department of Education and Training will clarify the responsibilities of the judges, and may downgrade, warn or reprimand depending on the results.
