According to reports, on the morning of October 8, a resident was suspected of being attacked by a crocodile in the Cho River area, Xuan Trung village. The animal is said to weigh about 20-30kg. The victim was lucky to escape to shore and go to the medical station for first aid.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Dien Lam commune authorities sent forces to cordon off the area and warn people not to go near the river and lagoon areas, especially the Cho river section where the incident occurred.

In recent days, there has been heavy rain in the commune, the Cho River has risen and is flowing rapidly, making the search difficult. Up to now, after more than 2 days of searching, the authorities have not yet discovered any trace of the animal suspected to be a crocodile.

The commune government is coordinating with relevant agencies to work with the tourist area suspected of letting the crocodile escape regarding the records and captivity... The medical sector is also working with the victim to determine the injury, not ruling out the possibility that the victim was injured by an attack from another animal.
