Vietnam has 25 localities and units honored in 6 categories of the ASEAN Tourism Awards 2024 at the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2024 held in Laos from January 22 to 27.

25 Vietnamese tourism entities honored at ASEAN Tourism Awards 2024

The ASEAN Tourism Awards is an annual event to honor localities and units with high-quality tourism products and services, contributing to the sustainable development of tourist destinations in the ASEAN region. This is also an opportunity for tourism businesses as well as local tourism organizations to effectively promote and market tourism activities and contribute to enhancing the national tourism brand.

At this year's award ceremony, Vietnam was honored to have 25 localities and units honored in 6 award categories. Accordingly, in the ASEAN Green Hotel Awards, there were 5 units honored: Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi ( Hanoi ); Ana Mandara Cam Ranh (Khanh Hoa); Majestic Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City); Diamond Star Ben Tre (Ben Tre); Salinda Resort Phu Quoc Island (Kien Giang).

The ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award honored three cities: (Thua Thien - Hue province); Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh province); Vung Tau ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).

Minister Nguyen Van Hung presented the "ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Product Award".

The ASEAN MICE Venue Award (Meeting Room Standard Category) honored 5 units: Lotte Hanoi Hotel (Hanoi); FLC Ha Long International Convention Center (Quang Ninh); The Grand Ho Tram Strip resort hotel (Ba Ria - Vung Tau); Flamingo Cat Ba resort hotel (Hai Phong); New World Hoiana Beach Resort resort hotel (Quang Nam).

The ASEAN MICE Venue Award (Exhibition Venue Category) has 5 units: JW Marriott Hanoi Hotel (Hanoi); FLC Sam Son Beach & Golf Resort (Thanh Hoa); Vinpearl Resort & Golf Nam Hoi An (Quang Nam); Vinpearl Nha Trang Resort (Khanh Hoa); Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (Ho Chi Minh City).

The ASEAN MICE Venue Award (Event Organization Category) has 5 units: Yen Bien Luxury Hotel (Ha Giang); Thang Long Imperial Citadel (Hanoi); Silk Path Grand Hue Hotel & Spa (Thua Thien - Hue); Selectum Noa Resort Cam Ranh (Khanh Hoa); Equatorial Ho Chi Minh City Hotel (Ho Chi Minh City).

The ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Product Award has 2 units: Sustainable rural tourism product: Experience traditional Northern cuisine at Duong Lam Ancient Village, Hanoi; Sustainable urban tourism product: Experience vegetarian cuisine at An Nhien Garden restaurant, Hue city, Thua Thien - Hue province.

These prestigious awards are a testament to the efforts, quality and brands of localities and units of Vietnamese tourism, reflecting the strong recovery of Vietnamese tourism in recent times.
