From March 25th to 27th, the Ministry of Education and Training organized the national team selection exam to participate in the 2025 International and Regional Olympiads. This year's exam saw the participation of 187 candidates from provinces and cities nationwide, in five subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science.
As a result, six students from the mathematics category were selected to compete in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).

In physics, eight contestants have been selected to compete in the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO):

In chemistry, four contestants have been selected to compete in the International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO):

In Biology, four contestants have been selected to compete in the International Biology Olympiad (IBIO):

In the computer science category, 15 contestants were selected to participate in the Asia- Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO). The results were announced during the competition. Therefore, contestants knew their results as early as March 27th.
The national team selection exam for the International and Regional Olympiads is organized to discover and nurture young talents who will represent Vietnam in international competitions. The achievements of the contestants not only affirm the quality of Vietnam's advanced education but also create motivation for the movement of learning and scientific research among students nationwide.
The Ministry of Education and Training stated that it will continue to coordinate with relevant units to organize intensive review and training programs, helping students to be best prepared for upcoming international and regional Olympic competitions.
