Specifically, according to Eric Yeo, Country Director of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Vietnam - Gen AI, cloud technology and machine learning are becoming increasingly accessible, impacting every aspect of our lives, from writing emails to developing software.

Eric also shared the insights of Dr. Werner Vogels, CTO of Amazon, on four key technology predictions relevant to businesses in Vietnam in 2024.
First, AI-powered coding assistants will be a transformative force, shaping how developers approach coding challenges. AI assistants will automatically complete code snippets, providing quick solutions to common problems, allowing developers to focus on the more complex aspects of the issue.
The second prediction is that femtech, technology for women, has finally succeeded. Increased investment and development of products and services addressing women's healthcare needs continue to surge, making their lives more comfortable. The rise of femtech will not only benefit women but also transform and elevate the entire healthcare system.
Third, higher education will evolve to keep pace with the speed of technology. More and more industries are moving toward specializing their employees. Amazon has trained 21 million technology learners worldwide in technological skills through programs such as mechatronics, robotics, and the AWS cloud academy. All of these programs have enabled learners at different points in their careers to acquire necessary additional skills.
Ultimately, Gen AI will be culturally aware. Today, if you look at most major language models, 46% of them are English and have a Western, American-style culture. As cultural fluency continues to be integrated into major language models or LLMs, they will make AI generation more accessible to users worldwide .
Arcanic AI, a startup in Vietnam, is a prime example of developing AI models optimized for Vietnamese users. By integrating Vietnamese social data and understanding the country's culture, customs, and traditions, as well as refining results from Amazon SageMaker, these models are culturally aware and provide responses tailored to users.
Reportedly, the public cloud market in Vietnam is projected to reach $1.4 billion by 2027, with a compound annual growth rate of 26.5%, according to IDC forecasts. Eric stated that many AWS customers in Vietnam are embarking on their data and analytics journey; some of them have also begun their Gen AI journey.
