Previously, voters sent petitions to the authorities to strengthen propaganda and mobilization work along with applying administrative measures, strictly handling violations of environmental protection, ensuring the safety of water sources, air, and people's living environment.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City informed that currently, the department still maintains regular guidance, propaganda, and dissemination of environmental protection laws to businesses and people. In addition, the city is implementing synchronous solutions and industry solutions to improve and enhance the city's environmental quality.

Firstly, speed up the progress of handling projects encroaching on canals and relocating houses on canals; implement projects to collect and treat urban wastewater. At the same time, synchronously deploy solutions to prevent and stop the situation of dumping garbage on streets, rivers and canals.

Second, maintain the achieved results and effectively implement the environmental pollution reduction program for the 2020-2030 period; mobilize people not to litter on the streets and canals for a clean, green city; strengthen control of air pollution.

Third, institutionalize short-term and medium-term socio -economic development planning, as a basis for specifically identifying environmental impacts and having appropriate plans for environmental protection, climate change response, and biodiversity conservation. In particular, solutions for planning and investing in urban infrastructure, especially centralized urban wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure, and solid waste collection and transportation infrastructure play an important role.

Fourth, strengthen inter-provincial and inter-regional coordination in monitoring waste sources and controlling pollution, responding to climate change, and conserving nature and biodiversity.

Fifth, strengthen international cooperation activities in environmental protection and climate change response, invest in developing urban wastewater collection and treatment systems, develop circular economic models in waste collection and recycling, and improve environmental quality.
