Following the launch of the competition, the organizing committee received 350 entries from students in grades 1-9 across the province. A judging panel was formed to select 125 paintings for exhibition at the Provincial Children's House from August 12th to August 16th, 2024.
Simultaneously, 52 outstanding paintings were selected for awards, including: 2 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 6 C prizes, and 40 Consolation prizes. The A prizes went to Tran Hoang Thuy Lam, Advanced Painting Class of Quang Tri Children's House, for her work "Dream," and Tran Nguyen Bao An, Basic Painting Class of Quang Tri Children's House, for her work "The Forest Cries for Help."
According to the competition organizers, each children's painting successfully conveyed the theme, praising the beauty and significance of forests to humans and all living things, and expressing the children's love for the forest. The children also embodied the green forest, sharing its thoughts and voice. The paintings reflected the children's dreams and the forest's dreams for a bright future, calling on everyone to join hands in protecting the forest, keeping it green, clean, and beautiful.

This is a valuable platform that contributes to raising students' awareness, resulting in paintings that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly meaningful in protecting nature and the environment, increasing students' understanding of protecting nature and the living environment.
Following the awards ceremony, the competition organizers selected children with the most outstanding and meaningful works to participate in the National Workshop on Sustainable Environmental Education, which included two parts: an art exhibition at the workshop and participation in an outdoor learning and experiential class at the opening ceremony of the sustainable environmental education class in the experimental forest of the North Central Forestry Science Center.
