(CLO) The 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival is expected to take place from 7am to 10am on March 8 with 3,000 people directly participating in the Ao Dai performance on the walking street and 50,000 people at other tourist attractions.

Accordingly, the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival in 2025 is expected to attract 53,000 people to participate in Ao Dai performances at many tourist sites in the city, taking place from March 1 to March 9, commemorating many important historical milestones of the country.

With the theme "Vietnamese Ao Dai - Rising Vietnam", the festival continues to affirm national pride, is a bridge to integrate Vietnam into the world , and at the same time contributes to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of Ao Dai.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism expects 53,000 people to perform in Ao Dai on the morning of March 8, of which 3,000 will participate directly on Nguyen Hue walking street.

In the concert program, the organizers also combined an ancient costume parade with more than 500 participants, thereby honoring the beauty of traditional costumes and proudly looking back at the unique identity of the nation in the cultural flow through thousands of years of history.

This year's festival has the participation of more than 30 guests, famous people working in many fields such as politics , economics, beauty queens, singers and actors, as image ambassadors.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival is not only a unique cultural and tourism event, but also a meaningful activity in preserving, promoting and spreading the value of Vietnamese Ao Dai.

The 11th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2025 opened on the evening of March 7 at the Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue Street with the performance of many impressive collections.

In addition, within the framework of the festival, there is also a program to give Ao Dai to women's union members and female workers; exhibition space and interaction with Ao Dai on Nguyen Hue walking street, City Theater metro station; Ao Dai Charm contest for groups...

This year's festival is also an occasion to celebrate the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising, the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
