6 excellent students won first prize in the preliminary round of the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest

On the afternoon of August 12, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism summarized and awarded prizes for the preliminary round of the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassador contest.

Overview of the ceremony.

The preliminary round of the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest was widely launched by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to all students of primary, secondary and high schools in the province from April 9. The Organizing Committee received 29,700 entries from 242 high schools, secondary schools and primary schools in the area.

Director of the Provincial Library Le Thien Duong delivered a closing speech at the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 collective prizes and 57 individual prizes (including 6 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 12 third prizes, 18 consolation prizes and 12 thematic prizes).

The Organizing Committee representative awarded 2 collective prizes to the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa City and Ha Dong Primary School (Ha Trung).

Of which, 2 collective prizes were awarded to the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa City - the Department of Education and Training that implemented the contest best and Ha Dong Primary School (Ha Trung) - the primary school with the most prize-winning contestants.

The 6 first prizes were awarded to the following contestants: Trinh Hoang Quan (class 4A3, Dien Bien 2 Primary School, Thanh Hoa City); Dao Quang Long (class 5B, Ha Ngoc Primary School, Ha Trung); Le Hong Nhung (class 5A, Ha Dong Primary School, Ha Trung); Lu Khanh Huyen (class 9B, Thieu Tam Secondary School, Thieu Hoa); Nguyen Gia Linh (class 7A, Yen Duong Secondary School, Ha Trung) and Tran Khanh An (class 6A2, Nguyen Hong Le Secondary School, Sam Son City).

Representatives of the Organizing Committee awarded first prizes to individuals with excellent entries in the preliminary round of the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassador contest.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the contest had many entries that were carefully invested, creative, beautifully written, had good book reviews, and language and writing style appropriate for students' ages... Along with that, many entries expressed ideas and built action plans to develop a reading culture for themselves or the community.

The preliminary round of the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassador contest is an opportunity for students in Thanh Hoa province to exchange and share their experiences in reading and developing a reading culture. Thereby encouraging and promoting the reading movement among the young generation, forming reading habits and skills for students, contributing to the development of reading culture in schools and communities, and promoting the building of a learning society.

At the end of the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee selected 6 first prize winning individual entries to participate in the final round of the Reading Culture Ambassador contest organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
