68/85 renewable energy projects submit documents for electricity price negotiation

As of June 16, 68/85 transitional renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 3,791.86 MW have submitted documents to the Electricity Trading Company to negotiate electricity prices.

68 wind and solar power projects have submitted applications for negotiating electricity prices.

Of which, 59 projects (total capacity 3,211.41 MW) have proposed temporary prices (equal to 50% of the ceiling price of the price frame according to Decision No. 21/QD-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade ).

Vietnam Electricity Group and investors have completed price negotiations and signed PPA contracts with 55/59 projects (of which the Ministry of Industry and Trade has approved provisional prices for 51 projects).

There are 11 transitional renewable energy projects that have submitted documents for recognition of commercial operation date (COD), of which 10 projects, part of the project with a total capacity of 536.52 MW have completed COD procedures and are generating commercial electricity to the grid.

The cumulative electricity output of transitional renewable energy projects from COD to June 16 reached about 38.59 million kWh. Of which, the average daily electricity output was about 3.2 million kWh, accounting for only about 0.4% of the total mobilized electricity output.
