The program took place over 3 days, May 27, 28 and 29, in Trung Tam Ward, Nghia Lo Town, Yen Bai Province, with the participation of 75 students who are cultural and propaganda officers, lecturers of Yen Bai College and representatives of service and tourism businesses in the province.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Vu Thi Mai Oanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Yen Bai province, emphasized the important role of digital platforms in promoting local tourism.
The training program on digital communication skills with the participation of 75 trainees who are cultural and propaganda officers, lecturers of Yen Bai College and representatives of service and tourism businesses in Yen Bai province.
"In particular, students will spend a whole day practicing, being directly guided by instructors, testing and evaluating products. Thanks to that, after the course, students can immediately apply it in practice, contributing to improving the effectiveness of tourism promotion throughout the province," said the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Yen Bai province.
At the beginning of the lecture, Master Nguyen Van Hao, lecturer at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, gave an overview of popular digital platforms such as Facebook, TikTok... and also provided instructions on how to choose the right frame and filming method for each platform to optimize communication effectiveness.
"Each frame is a different way of telling a story and approaching viewers. The 16:9 frame is often used in advertising videos, media in newspapers, and on the Youtube platform. The vertical frame when used on Facebook and Tiktok platforms will attract more viewers because it fills the screen, without any extra points on the video...", Master Nguyen Van Hao introduced.

Next, the students were instructed by Director Nguyen The Hung, Vietnam Television, on filming techniques on mobile devices, choosing shooting angles and using the Capcut application to edit videos... The students also learned about video post-production: how to cut, edit, insert effects, background music, running text... on mobile devices.
In the following days, students will practice filming and editing directly at tourist attractions, with topics on multimedia graphics technology and VR 360 virtual reality.
“After being instructed, I found that the videos I had previously recorded did not follow the techniques taught by the teacher and were not very effective. Therefore, learning about post-production and image composition helped me apply them better in practice,” a student shared.
