At the conference, the representative of the Vietnam Record Organization (VietKings) announced the Vietnam Record: An Giang Province is the first locality in the country to successfully implement the model "Each administrative unit at the district, town, and city level has a Buddhist Temple" to contribute to education and promote the tradition of "Respecting teachers and valuing education", "Remembering the source of water" (from 1943 to 2024 with 11 works in 11 administrative units of the province).
Since the 6th An Giang Provincial Patriotic Emulation Congress in 2020 with the theme "Solidarity, creativity, emulation to build sustainable development of An Giang", the education and training sector of An Giang province has deployed tasks to promote the emulation movement and improve the effectiveness of the implementation of commendation work.
Specifically, the Department of Education and Training has launched emulation movements in the education and training sector to respond to emulation movements launched by the Government, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Ministry of Education and Training such as: Emulation movement "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning in the education sector, period 2020-2025"; Emulation movement "Cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to implement office culture"; Emulation movement "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promote lifelong learning in the period 2023-2030"; Emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas"; Emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind";... In particular, focusing on leadership and direction to innovate the organization of patriotic emulation movements associated with promoting "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", at the same time discovering, fostering, summarizing and replicating advanced models.
Along with the implementation of the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" combined with the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, the education and training sector has achieved the criteria related to the field of education and training, helping to raise the rate of new rural communes in the whole province (80/110 communes meeting new rural standards, 3/11 cities/districts completing the task of building new rural areas and 1/11 advanced new rural districts). Thereby, school facilities are increasingly spacious, the rate of schools meeting national standards in the period has increased significantly, from 42.92% in 2020 to 56.17% in early 2025, contributing significantly to the innovation and improvement of education quality.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung expressed his deep pride when his province received the Vietnam Record with the model "Each administrative unit at district, town and city level has a Buddhist Temple". He emphasized that this is a vivid proof of the tradition of "Respecting teachers" and "Remembering the source of water" which is preserved and strongly promoted in An Giang.
In addition to the joy of the record, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also sent warm congratulations to the typical advanced collectives and individuals in the Education and Training sector in the period of 2020 - 2025; at the same time, acknowledged and appreciated the tireless contributions of the team of cadres, teachers and employees in the education sector, who have been silently dedicating themselves to improving the quality of education, contributing to the overall development of the province.
In particular, in the context of An Giang being a province with an agricultural proportion of 35% of the economic structure, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung affirmed: "If we want An Giang to develop further, we need to promote the application of science and technology, digital transformation and innovation. In order for emulation and rewards to truly be a driving force for the successful completion of the political tasks of the education and training sector, Director of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang, Tran Thi Ngoc Diem, launched the emulation movement for the period 2025 - 2030, specifically: The whole sector continues to innovate emulation and rewards to effectively implement the viewpoints and directions of the Party and State on fundamental and comprehensive education innovation, creating motivation to improve the quality of education, successfully implementing the 2018 General Education Program. Also at the conference, the An Giang Department of Education and Training launched the education and training data axis - a centralized, interconnected system, connecting data on students, teachers, management, teaching, and learning from all preschool and general education institutions in the province, connecting with the population database. This is an important turning point, opening the path to education modernization, helping to improve management efficiency, contributing to improving training quality.
